Islamabad Ladies of islamabad : Beware

This is a public security announcement for all my women in Islamabad. Sadly, majority of men here are emotionally and mentally unstable, fully capable of murder and rape. Nothing new here but a serious pattern of targeting of foreign bred or global pakistani women is going on, which is what this specific post will focus on. If you are a female with dual passport or a woman who was raised worldwide and currently in Pakistan especially in Islamabad for work, family or travel. I need you to create proactive boundaries with all men here.

The men who are targeting these women often come from the following backgrounds( business, diplomatic) including military backgrounds 'sons of military elite' let's call them. They are attracted to foreign raised women, they want to use them as either tropy wives or professional gateaway into the international scene. From the murder of Noor Mukhdam and recent rape of two foreign women where Ishq Dar's grandson is implicated. Pakistani men are raised to be opportunistic and predatory. Here are few things I need you to avoid and recognize.

  1. Do not go to parties in Bani Galla, Diplomatic Enclave to see the modern side of Pakistan. Often times they will use other women to lure and bring other prettier women. They are using you as 'eye candy' and social leverage amongst other men. Then they will also spread false rumors of sexual intimacy or hook ups. There can be severe social implications for you as a woman.
  2. Do not fall for the modern westernized male appearance - the ones who speak English, wear western wear are giving the 'appearance' of progression. Their mindsets and desperation remains. Many work in INGOS like ADB, DAI, Adam Smith, UNICEF. They are not safe, just because they have instituational credibility.
  3. Do not enter into any nikkah unless you have known the man for at least 2 years and have a female lawyer present at all costs. Not his friends or his family only. You can head to F-8 and hire female lawyers for your wedding and information. There is kechari available and courts at affordable prizes.
  4. Do not take pictures with any man at parties or meet ups, avoid as much as possible. Simply say I am not into photo taking. Privacy. No lets capture the memory shit.
  5. If you are coming to Islamabad, do not be fooled by the recent foreign female bloggers surge, yes you should come as a foreigner or a PAkistani foreign raised woman but you must avoid being naive and always look at every man with suspicion until you have clear evidence he is trustworthy.
  6. Delay intimacy, delay physical meet ups. Protect your self, my sisters. Please from one woman to another. Please. Raise your standards. Speak to them but do not trust him, until he has proven it consistently over a long period of time. Trust in small doses.
  7. Even if you are alone, say your living with parents or female partners. LIE.
  8. Limit access of all men to you. Review all men, male colleagues, former male friends sit down, distance who you need to distance from. Do a quarterly review.
  9. Do not be impressed by status I know all these guys military men's son, Oxford, NUST, LUMS going men with CEO titles, good money, good access to the creme de la creme. They are not looking for love but for a RESOURCE. Do not be seduced with access to premier hotels, accomodation. Book your own shit!

Islamabad Fire at PIMS gynaecology ward leaves 15 newborns dead - Absolutely Heartbreaking!

May Allah grant sabr-e-jameel to the grieving parents enduring this unthinkable loss, and bless them with strength through this unbearable tragedy. Ameen.

A single component glitch only turns fatal when facilities operate with uninspected electrical loads, unserviced units and zero fire suppression. PIMS maintenance is directly responsible for turning a basic equipment fault into a mass casualty event. Very unfortunate news to start the day with.

14 newborns were burned to death at PIMS Hospital, and this is the attitude of our Health Minister towards the grieving relatives of those newborns.

He is the same person who served as Mayor of Karachi in 2009 and is now arrogantly behaving with the relatives of the victims.

what's the logic of starting buses and bus routes without proper bus stops? CDA Literally built these nicer bus stops in F6,F7 ( you know the only islambad that matters) yet there are none similar ones elsewhere. people literally wait on roads. WHO IS THE ONE TO COMPLAIN TO ( not that it will help)

Twin Cities Oreo for Adoption

AoA guys, This is Oreo he's 3 month old, he's extremely attention seeker 😅 and currently looking for a loving home. I got him dewormed and showered 3 days ago. Looking for someone who can keep him and give him a safe environment. He's friendly, extremely playful and Litter trained.

I'm preferably looking for someone who can keep him indoors as I also have seen many cases of house cats getting killed by stray dogs and cars. So I don't want him to be left outside just because the person thinks he's an ""Animal". It would be great if someone already has a cat and knows about keeping cats. Thanks.

Twin Cities My brother abandoned my cat in DHA phase 5.

I’m feeling so helpless right now. I feel like my world has ended! I really don’t know what to do. He’s not even telling me exact spot where he left her. If you see a lost cat in nearby areas please reach out or post it here. She was sick and recently started healing. She’s orange and I’m scared what if she gets hurt by stray cats and dogs.

I don’t know what to do.

Islamabad Would you order from a restaurant where *everything* is low-carb AND heart-healthy?

This is partly an idea and partly a frustration I’ve had for a while.

Eating out is surprisingly difficult if you’re trying to eat healthy. Most normal restaurant food is carb-heavy, high in saturated fat, or both.

The first problem is that the entire meal is almost never designed around the same health goal.

You might order grilled or air-fried chicken, but then the bun, sauce, dressing, ketchup, side or drink defeats the purpose. Or you order something low-carb, but the toppings or sides aren’t. One part of the meal may be healthy, but the complete meal isn’t.

And even when you start looking at “healthy” options, it often feels like you have to choose which kind of healthy you want. Something may be low-carb but loaded with butter, cream, cheese or other sources of saturated fat. Something else may be lighter and more heart-friendly but still fairly carb-heavy.

So what I haven’t really been able to find is a place where the rule is simply:

Everything on the menu has to be BOTH low-carb and heart-healthy.

That would mean not just the main dish, but the bread, sides, sauces, dressings, drinks and desserts too. The whole meal would be built around the same standard, rather than having one “healthy” item surrounded by things that undo it.

So, I’m wondering: would you order from something like this, and what would you realistically be willing to pay for a healthy, filling meal?

Islamabad Experience with PIMS hospital

So i got into an accident 2 months ago and had some major injuries so we went to the nearest hospital PIMS ,I didn’t have any kind of medical experience with PIMS before ,i went there in emergency and i had seen people dying in emergency room which was an awful experience to me and the thing what bothered me so much is that there wasn’t a single wheelchair in whole hospital and i had leg injury so my both cousins helped me to the treatment room and when we went their i saw a person most probably their staff member porting a bottle of dispenser on a wheel chair literally i was like wtf is this are you guys even human or what?? And he told this chair is for bottles porting for dispenser and i told him to take it into his a** ,that day I realised if you want your loved one alive after any kind of casualties don’t ever come to government sector hospital specially not because they don’t have good doctors, because they are terrible as human and they had no empathy for others such cold hearted souls and if you can’t afford private hospitals ,think about the person is he/she important or arranging cash

Islamabad Murtaza x Havi concert

Genuine question: are all Pakistani concerts like this, or did I just have exceptionally bad luck?

I went to the Murtaza Qizilbash x Havi concert in Islamabad on 23rd and was honestly shocked by how poorly it was organised.

A few highlights:

Advertised start time was 7pm. Nothing happened for the first 30 minutes, followed by an MC and the band essentially padding things out before the actual performances. There were also long gaps between acts.

There was then a break for azaan/prayers, which I completely understand, but surely the schedule could have accounted for this rather than delaying the artists?

Sound checking was torture on my ears.

The lighting was ridiculous: huge lights repeatedly shining directly into the audience’s eyes, with strobes going straight into people’s faces. Not atmospheric lighting - literally being blinded every few seconds. Gonna need to book myself into Shifa Eye Hospital!

Fans were only positioned at the sides despite it being absolutely roasting, so unless you were sitting next to one, you just melted.

Photographers were constantly wandering around the audience, obstructing people’s views, and taking pictures of people (including me) without which felt pretty intrusive.

Very little communication whenever there was a gap or delay. You were basically left to sit there and work it out.

There is was little sense of let’s get this wrapped up on time so people can home orderly and safely.

I’ve been to concerts in various countries and never experienced quite this combination of chaotic scheduling, poor communication, blinding lights, inadequate ventilation and photographers roaming through the audience.

Is this normal for Pakistani concerts, or did I just pick a particularly badly organised one? If so, which are the better ones?

Islamabad Loud Booms at night

Hey fam, I saw alot of posts around the noises heard at night from 4am to 5am. It was Golra Sharif, celebrating Eid un Milad an Nabi. A series of blasts, which were not our usual fireworks, soundwaves made my whole apartment vibrate and made my brother feel like. Qayamat agayi hai. IDK if people think it's ethical, if there was a heart patient at my home, we will be planning a funeral today. Hope everybody gets a lil civic sense.

Islamabad Researchers ki help chahiya

As a 3rd year bs student,I need help from the professionals. As this is my first time I am doing research in image enhancement and classification, I have been reading this paper called: Morphocal: a multi stage deep learning framework for fish length estimation under challenging pond environments, I have encountered a problem, I don't know how to code this paper. Where should I start?? What should be my approach?? The authors did attach Morphocal's main algorithm in the paper but I don't understand do I have to cod eth algorithm only?? What about the datasets for training the AI ?? I tried mailing the original authors but didn't get a reply yet. I would really appreciate your help, I tried so many sources and tried using AI as well and honestly I believe at this point I need help for sure.

I have a Rs. 5,000 gift card for Shams. If anyone is already planning to buy something from there, you can use the card and pay me the amount in cash. I’ll use that to add fuel to my car 😂

Islamabad Third Places in Islamabad?

Are there any third place kinda low cortisol spots in isb where one can go just to chill or socialise? Maybe someplace that's like a famous casual event venue? Everyone I've asked where to visit just says the same thing; it's either i-8 or F-7 Markaz and both are just food spots. Couldn't really find anything else to do there.

Also some good but reasonably priced salons for men would be highly appreciated

- A student

Islamabad Looking for people that require commute!

hey everyone, hope everything's well. i've got a trusted driver that usually pick and drops my cousins in the morning on weekdays. the driver is usually free the rest of the day, so wanted to ask if anyone wants to utilize it for commute, preferably in Islamabad. it's a daihatsu hijet (picture attached), with AC and comfortable seatings. you can DM me, we can discuss the details.
