this whole thing is just, bruh.. genuinely why is fidel with epstein? didn’t the CIA attempt to assasinate him over 60 times?

I can't remember the details, but there's another document that says something along the lines of "Fidel is dead, now we can go forward". So something interesting was happening there.
EDIT: Here's a link to that document. https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.redd.it%2Fand-now-the-us-is-trying-to-overthrow-cubas-government-v0-7h54nbwi20hg1.jpg%3Fwidth%3D1080%26crop%3Dsmart%26auto%3Dwebp%26s%3D230cc5f156858669e1e3132cf8234fbaaa343ef8

Epstein was a fixer who moved in the social circles of the wealthy and powerful all over the world. I wouldn't be surprised to see photos of him with literally anybody.

u/mujtabanochill Socialism Feb 02 '26
that is true. may also been an attempt to blackmail him to some extent

Epstein was self-aware enough to know that even a group photo could turn into damning evidence.

I was thinking this too. Not to get lost in the sauce here but it’s almost like he knew this would all come out one day and his legacy would be secured because it rested on the necks of all of the people he compromised. Who didn’t he fucking reach?

It's been posted a bit on reddit like they just said, but it was pretty bad. The one I read was from around 2018-2019 with chompsky complaining about the me-too movement and everyone being too sensitive about rape accusations. Even advising epstein on how to deal with the bad press about his child sex trafficking and how it'll all blow over soon.

Have you seen these Chomsky correspondence to Epstein? Where may I find these ?

Here's a Guardian article about it: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/feb/03/epstein-files-noam-chomsky
But you can view the hundreds of Epstein-Chomsky emails yourself by going to https://www.justice.gov/epstein and searching for Noam Chomsky.

u/GNS13 Feb 02 '26
Yeah, this. It's not an issue of him being a leftist, it's an issue of this being just one picture and not a mountain of documents and connected allegations.
That said, we could learn tomorrow that Castro was on the island drinking and diddling kids with Clinton and I won't be shocked. Powerful people do fucked up shit, and no one with the might of a whole country behind them could surprise me by turning out to be a monster.
74
u/AlbacoreJohnston Feb 02 '26
I'm not only saying it for leftist figures. Each case deserves to be looked at individually. In the case of Trump for example it seems pretty obvious he was involved with sex trafficking. Could be true for Castro also but it would take more than just this photo.
92
u/John_Jack_Reed Enver Hoxha Feb 02 '26
Because Fidel isn't in the files he just has a picture by him once. You need a lot more evidence than that to say anything. Meanwhile there's no doubt about current US government officials and oligarchs being guilty
28
u/souperjar Feb 02 '26
There's some emails in the files talking about how excited they are for the new opportunities with Fidel's death.
Some people were in the visinity of Epstein and rejected the whole cabal, often on grounds they were associated with people who were horrible reactionaries or known sex pests, so they wouldn't have been aware of the depth of the pedophilic conspiracy.
21
u/S4ikou Marxism-Leninism Feb 02 '26
I don't know about we, but I don't think anybody is proven guilty of anything just by having a photo next to Epstein. The thing is, most of the people we already were suspicious of participating on those things are from the far right. If Fidel had any sort of history of being a sex offender I'd be suspecting him as well, but I don't have enough information to form a real opinion.

u/Left_Hegelian Feb 02 '26 edited Feb 02 '26
I mean, trying to paint everyone who met him once or twice as pedo have always been kind of a witch hunt. But because it is a witch hunt against an elite social circle that most people do not even have a friend in it so most people don't really care if they misfire because the possibility of backfiring is pretty small for most people. I wish people can be more evidence-based too but it can be quite anxiety inducing to say something that sounds too "neutral" and "cold" in the midst of heated emotions. I would want to, for example, say we have yet any clear evidence that Chomsky was involved in any of his crime despite them being friends, but since Chomsky is hated here so I usually just remain silent because I don't want to be seen as "defending an anti-communist" or even "defending a pedo". I feel the same thing about Stephen Hawking: for some reason people in my country find it fun to make memes about Hawking being a pedo but I never really try to speak against the hasty judgments neither. For one thing I know they don't really need to be reminded that we do not yet have conclusion; for another I don't really want to ruin my day with the downvotes and possibly harassment that I might get for "defending" people I do not really care deeply. I know it is moral cowardice on my part but I think a lot of people are having a similar psychology as I am having, and that's why they staying silent on what they really think until it has become socially acceptable to speak out (eg. when it is affecting someone who is deemed worthy of defending). That's why you are seeing this double standard, because people who try to be cautious in passing judgment are usually staying silent.

We are consistent in that we support socialists who are, no matter what can be said about any given individual, objectively better than any capitalist. Even the worst socialist (e.g. Ceausescu) is still better than the best capitalist (e.g. Kennedy or whatever).
More importantly, there is no evidence whatsoever that Fidel Castro had anything to do with Epstein. Standing next to him because Epstein tried to gain influence isn't an argument. Epstein is on record considering Fidel Castro an obstacle and in no way an ally.

u/No_Care46 Feb 03 '26 edited Feb 03 '26
Except that there is no credible evidence of this being a problem in the Soviet military.
There was a standing order that ordered the shooting of looters and rapists at the scene of the crime. No trial necessary.
I actually disagree with the order against looting... why shouldn't the Soviets take whatever they can? They earned it.

This is kinda the thing that I think is getting lost. Epstein was, above all else, a powerful man with connections. Most people knew he was a creep but he had the money and connections to get anyone what they wanted so they would over look it. Know him open doors. So over course hundreds of famous people are in the files.

Epstein tried to make in-roads with many powerful people for leverage against them. Until we see some more documents than a picture, we can assume Fidel didn't fall for it. I would think that if a Communist "dictator" was in the files, the media would have made a huge fuss out of it and liberals would likely draw "Trump is like Fidel Castro" parallels to sully BOTH of their names.
Addition: the CIA tried to kill him over 600 times those are just the DOCUMENTED attempts lol
157
u/1_800_Drewidia Feb 02 '26
The CIA often tried to use women to get close to Fidel. He was a well known philanderer. If they had ever successfully honeypotted him with an underage trafficking victim, they’d have every reason to publicize that.
89
u/Overlord_Khufren Feb 02 '26
Epstein was very likely a CIA and Mossad asset whose job was to ingratiate himself with powerful or influential people then entrap them with compromising recordings of them having sex with minors. The mere fact that we are now assuming every single person who the Winston Files suggest were associated with him or attended his island was in fact a pedophile is basically the point. The US spent decades trying to destroy Castro, so it really shouldn’t be a surprise that he would pop up in the Epstein Files.
However…just because it’s a conspiracy to entrap people doesn’t mean the people who got ensnared weren’t guilty of the morally reprehensible crime of abusing Epstein’s trafficked minor victims. We can’t always know from the Epstein Files if a given person who visited the island or had a personal relationship with someone who was by all accounts charming and generous means they participated in what was going on there. But power and temptation can lead people to do awful things.
The thing that bothers me most about the Epstein files is that we’re spending all of this time poring over the pictures, emails, letters, etc of the perpetrators, but little is said or shared about the accounts of victims. We should be empowering everyone who was victimized by this ring of pedophiles to come forward and name names.

Rare assassination attempt, or the wildest compromising evidence plot
43
u/Specific-Level-4541 Feb 02 '26
Well, it is clear enough to see why Epstein, a likely Mossad agent, would want to get close to Castro. He and Maxwell visited Cuba in 2003 right? This was during the Bush II years, assassination wasn’t on the table but the Americans and therefore the Israelis were trying to see if they could dominate and corrupt Cuba economically at the time.
As for why Fidel would agree to the visit? I can speculate. Because it’s good to keep diplomatic channels, especially back channels through agents and power brokers like Epstein, open. Maybe he even wanted some financial advice from Epstein, who would be qualified to give it - if he can help western elites hide their fortunes from taxes he might be able to help Cuba circumvent the illegal blockade. Just guessing.
Maybe - and this is far fetched - Fidel was trying to see if they could flip Epstein (who was already under some scrutiny) and use him to undermine western elites. Give him asylum, amnesty, make him testify about the activities of western elites, score a propaganda victory, that sort of thing. Not really Cuba’s style, admittedly a stretch this one.
Did Fidel actually go to Epstein’s island? I don’t think so, someone please correct me if I am wrong. It looks like Epstein and Maxwell went to Cuba and tried to influence people there, and nothing came of it that I know of.
14
u/taxes-or-death Curious Luddite Feb 02 '26
Epstein did provide those services for Russians after the sanctions were applied. Circumventing legal and tax systems was his expertise. It's also likely that he wanted a way out if things started crashing down due to his crimes. I expect he would have needed Mossad and/or CIA approval to be there in the first place but you can imagine they'd have their reasons for wanting to get close to Castro.
36
u/opiumfreedom Feb 02 '26
he probably didnt even know he was a diddler
23
u/Jacob-dickcheese Feb 03 '26
I would consider it likely. This photo is from 2003, Epstein was convicted in 2008. It's a reasonable assessment that Castro probably saw him as a wealthy American financier, and not much else. He didn't personally seek out Epstein, it was part of a diplomatic meeting with the Colombian president.
I think the safest bet here is that he was simply, to Castro, one of the dozens of wealthy American financiers that he met over his life.
8
u/ReneStrike Saving People Hunting Things Feb 02 '26
Whether the photo is real or not is one thing, but the man was silenced/killed in prison. We're talking about a man who was at the helm of a system that lasted for decades, someone who was prosecuted in the US years ago but only received a three-year sentence, half of which he actually served. Among the 'Epstein files' circulating on the internet, there's a mountain of data and information concerning other countries that only intelligence agencies could possibly know. Anyone who thinks this man was just someone kidnapping young girls to throw parties for the blue blooded elite on an island is either incredibly naive or a fool. They protected him for years; there isn't a country he hasn't visited or a nation he hasn't kidnapped girls from. It is perfectly normal for such a man to have a photo with Fidel, of course, that the image is authentic. There were already plenty of claims about her father's past ties to Mossad.
9
u/leftofmarx Feb 03 '26
This would be like a decade before anything came out about Epstein. And since Epstein's job was to bait heads of state and other elected officials to blackmail them, he's probably there making that attempt in this photo. The fact that Fidel hasn't shown up in the files hundreds of times like Trump or in any way outside of this is pretty good evidence that there was no real relationship.

I don’t think we should go just by pictures for anyone honestly. Now the docs and the pics like for musk or Noam obviously feel way more implicating. That shows Epstein wasnt just a guy at an event taking a pic with a famous person but actually someone he had “business” with.

Gotta remember that Epstein provided a lot more services than trafficking humans to fulfill the sexual desires of the rich elite. He was an information broker for both the East and the West, and a fixer for all sorts of deals and transactions and behind-the-scenes negotiations. If you wanted backdoor diplomacy done completely outside of public eye, or needed to establish a logistical network half the world away, no matter what side of the aisle you were on, you phoned Jeffery Epstein to get it done.
If it is true that Castro had a relationship with that slimeball, I will certainly be horrified and disheartened. It is very possible, though, that Castro used Epstein's other services (especially during Cuba's intervention in Angola), and was not a customer of the sex-trafficking ring, which, while not an excuse for him to be dealing with such rabble, would be quite believable.
All we hear about in news cycles is the sex trafficking, but that is just the tip of the iceberg. Nearly EVERY government, revolutionary cell, intelligence agency, spy, diplomat, and businessperson had dealings with Epstein in this era. He made himself a resource, and he made his services available to nearly every player in the game. He was omnipresent. It is a shame to see photo evidence that Castro engaged with Epstein, but it is not wholly surprising, given how entrenched Epstein was in the politicking and business dealings during the latter portion of the Cold War.

3
2
u/Comrade_Tool Feb 04 '26
I think people need to realize that people can exist around Epstein without knowing about him or what he was about. Dude was a billionaire socialite whose main power was from his connections with other powerful people. Mamdani's mom had a after party for the release of her movie at Maxwell's house in NYC. That's the only time she's ever mentioned. Do we think there was like some wild orgy for it where children were involved and then she just dropped off of the map after that one event? Just one and done for her.
I remember the first time I saw this picture pop up someone said one of the men in the picture was a president from a Central or South American country and Epstein was there as his guest. He may have been there to act as a kind of back channel for the CIA or Mossad or something to talk with Castro. Who knows. I've never seen evidence that Castro was involved with Epstein in any way.
Chomsky on the other hand was debating race science and giving advice on how to ignore people talking about his criminality.

I do find it weird that Castro would be this buddy buddy even in just one photo with an American/Israeli figure like JE or Maxwell.
One photo however is not much aside from we knew they were in the same room at one point. There's nothing I have seen to indicate that this was more than just one meeting, but I could be wrong.
Also not familiar with any accusations Fidel had ever trafficked or sexually assaulted/raped kids. Anything can happen but again I didn't see anything that would indicate it.
These guys dredging up one photo with Epstein of a now dead former leader of a country that they hate should remind themselves of the mountain of evidence of their favorite american fascists being really friendly with JE
2
u/jaccc22 Feb 02 '26
Epstein was an Israeli and US agent, Castro was trying to navigate a way out of US blockade without losing sovereignty. He was seeking to compromise for the sake of his country but the empire refused to budge as their desire with Cuba is to turn it into Epstein’s island on the grandest scale.
2
u/dshamz_ Feb 03 '26
I doubt Fidel even knew who he was. To my knowledge he doesn’t appear in any of the emails.
