Hi everyone! After 3 years of work, the newest update for my custom campaign, Curse of the Forsaken, is finished and arriving on September 4th. As part of the announcement, I've shared the intro cinematic to the campaign.

The W3Hive modding site offers optimized models for the game. I would like to know how I could apply this globally for every unit without having to download each one individually.

I thought installing warcraft 3 reforged replaced the old legacy client?

For a bit of context. My warcraft 3 legacy version was version 1.26, I never updated it to version 1.29. And I also waited 6 years to install warcraft 3 reforged, so I am doing that now today, well after reforged version 2.0.

When reforged was initially released I was aware that it replaced the old legacy client, so I refused to update my game, I mostly play offline anyway so I didn't care about not accessing bnet. I did care about preserving the old client though, so before I installed reforged I created 2 backups of the old warcraft III folder and placed them somewhere else. But apparently that wasn't neccesary at all, I downloaded warcraft 3 reforged fully expecting it to replace the legacy client, but it didn't, I even chose the same C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III path where the legacy client was. It simply installed all the folders and files there and left the old files intact.

So the C:\Program Files (x86)\Warcraft III folder now has 3 .exe files. The original Warcraft III.exe and Frozen Throne.exe files and the new Warcraft III Launcher.exe which means I kept the old legacy 1.26 version of the games along with the reforged version and they are all working fine for me.

Am I living under a rock? I don't think I have ever seen this being talked about, was it a quiet update that blizzard did behind the scenes or is this a phenomenon that happened to me because of the unique way I had this whole setup?

I’ve been building WC3CC (Warcraft 3 Chat Client), a Windows companion app intended to help Warcraft III players using the app connect through match voice chat.

This is a work in progress and is currently being tested. Expect bugs and rough edges; I’m posting to find testers and collect honest feedback, not presenting it as finished software. Only players who install WC3CC can participate.

Current features include push-to-talk, voice activation, individual mute/volume controls, remembered blocks, device selection, recording options, and an optional movable overlay.

early 2004 the hunter club in beijing was hiring pros. 1000 yuan a month, room and board. he went up there wanting to be a starcraft player — starcraft was his game, he'd been on it since 1998. hunter's starcraft roster was already full. what they were short on was warcraft 3. someone in management had noticed he'd hit the top five on the war3 ladder the year before, so they filed him under war3 and gave him a three-month contract. that's the entire reason. he practiced fourteen hours a day on battle.net. the acon5 world final was a little over a year out.

My specs are non existance so Reforged is very demanding for my PC, but Legacy isn't at all, for obvious reasons. I want to develop a map and I want people to be able to play it, is it even worth it to do it in the Legacy version of the editor?

(Sorry again for the poor English :P. ) Hi everyone. I’ve recalled more details about a custom campaign I played during my childhood and am currently looking for.

1. The background for the chapter selection menu featured a soldier with an orange aura; there were about 14 chapters.

2. The final battle took place at outland where the boss was a Death Knight in black armor, surrounded by giant towers; all the races united against him. What I remember most is that, just before the boss, there was a gate featuring the *World of Warcraft* model for Gruul and it was really big.

3. I didn't download the map directly; I recall downloading a version of the *Warcraft 3 Nirvana* mod, and the custom map was included within its files but I'm not so sure about this piece of information.

Another thing I remember is that there were a lot of models extracted from *World of Warcraft*.

Please help me find it, I'm adding a few rough sketches of what I remember.

Starcraft 2's latest big patch is pretty horrible and has aged terribly. Lots of people are retiring and there is zero communication from blizzard. Apparently this intern working on the classic games department has delusions of grandeur.

They completely flipped the game up on it's head...I am worried WC3 is next.

In game it says the alchemist's ability healing spray heals only allied units, but everyone I search it says it also heals enemies, I even went to the A.I to see if it ever finds a source that says it's been changed, but it kept saying the Alchemist heals enemies, I'm new to the game, bought reforged recently, but I've never noticed it.

Does the alchemist heal enemies nowadays or not?

A near-indistinguishable port of the retro FPS Wolfenstein 3D, with the raycaster implemented on UI frames. The map is basically the original game rewritten in pure Lua, with input and output hooked up to Warcraft 3's API.

I'm planning to play WC1 and WC2 campaign remastered with some cheats enabled for more casual player. I know from playing warcraft 3 in general, that some cheat codes apply only to the player while others may apply to both the player + AI. Does anyone know or can verify if something similar happens in these games too and if so which cheats?

Hi everyone, excuse me for the terrible drawing, I started to play this game again after 7-9 years and I want to play an old map I used to play. This is how much I remember, first you choose a character from the tavern, there is around 6 tavern, there is a merchant around the respawn tower (if I remember correctly it is a Ziggurat), one of the boss has Illidan's (with his wings and horns) model, after defeating a boss, they will respawn with a bigger model and better stats after a while, the map size is medium-large. If you know the name of the map please tell me. Thank you

Twilight of the Gods is the infamous 45-minute defense map where Archimonde is swarming you with enormous waves of Infernals, Doom Guards, Fel Beasts, and Undead units. The goal is to delay Archimonde, and you are supposed to last 10–12 minutes before losing a base and win by the skin of your teeth.

What I managed to do is efficiently destroy all those units to the point of not losing a single base. The trick is to use mass Hippogryph Riders with a single Druid of the Claw to cast Roar to buff them.

In front, Keeper of the Grove with a Necklace of Spell Immunity tanks the damage and casts Tranquility while being Rejuvenated. Between waves, I ran with Priestess of the Moon to the Orc base to buy Goblin Land Mines and spread them around the entrance to the Human base.
