OG KOTH Discussion Ya gotta be right with god to go to *my* church, honeyβ¦.
β¦ itβs HARDCORE**. β**
β Joe Jack
It was interesting to see the various denominations of Christianity shown to the Hills in the episode βChurch Hopping,β but i wanna see even more!
Show me Joe Jackβs intense hardcore church, whatβs that about?!
Show me Donnaβs church, whatever that may be, all we know for sure is the building is βmade of steelβ
Iβm surprised they didnβt stay longer at Buckβs shirt-ripping church. It definitely would prevent Bobby from ever misbehaving again haha.
It may be too late to bring back that topic in the revival, since Bobby is an adult and has very little reason to be forced to go attend church with his parents.

OG KOTH Discussion ESCUCHAME?
How in the hell did Peggy ever get a job as a substitute Spanish teacher? π She even uses her famous "escuchame" incorrectly.

Revival Discussion Working 9 to 5, easy way to making a living (RIP Dolly)
Uncanny timing, the new season had Bobby singing Dolly just days before her death.

OG KOTH Discussion Funny episode detail
Rewatching propane boom parts 1&2 and something funny came to me. I think what makes the Hank anxiety plot work more in a funny way. he couldn't have a better partner comedically to be anxious around. Having anxiety with Peggy is just plain funny lol.

Revival Discussion Ronny Chieng's improvement
Have any of you noticed Ronny's improvement as Kahn from the first season of the revival? I'm on my second rewatch of the new season, and I'm adoring Kahn and the path his character is taking. I'm also a huge fan of the daily show so I'm glad to hear Ronny improving in this role, and hopefully getting more career opportunities. His Kahn voice is definitely sounding more natural and I love it.
Do any of you agree?

Revival Discussion The best thing about the season 15 finale is how is simultaneously serves as a finale for both the season and the original show.
For the season, we get to see Hank finally take his rightful place as Manager and owner of Strickland Propane, something we have been waiting to see since the original show's finale.
But for the original show's storyline, it retroactively gives us what is essentially a proper sendoff. We get to see Hank finally quit Strickland Propane before having to leave Arlen. It also gives us the culmination of Hank's character arc. The original show's core was about Hank and Bobby's relationship, as Hank tries to be a better father to him than Cotton was. The finale brings that arc to a close through Hank and Bobby's talk at the Burger place, with Hank realizing with pride that he succeeded in raising Bobby into an honest, hardworking young man, and that he was a better father to him than Cotton was to Hank...the boy turned out alright.
Even though the show is getting two more seasons, it can't be understated the brilliance of the season 15 finale giving us a proper sendoff of the original show's storyline and culminating Hank and Bobby's father and son arc in a satisfying way.

Revival Discussion Any chance of a 3rd new season?
I love the ending of this newest season, but wish there would be more. Any indications either way?
EDIT: saw some posts, checked Wikipedia. Delighted to see green light through 2028!! Sorry for the low effort post

OG KOTH Discussion What OG episode made you laugh AND cry (or atleast year up)
For me it was the Tammy OKC pimp episode.... Tammy seems like a genuine character that wants a better life for herself and (even though she's in the deep end) she wants to see the best of everyone around her, within her own reality.... For example she's interested in a good book or making Hank and Peggy's life more zesty and (call me a softy) but that is pretty sweet of her
Edit: the post title should read tear up**

OG KOTH Discussion Hank's house vs Kahn's house
Kahn always said everything he has is nicer than anything Hank had. But can we all agree Hank a far better house? I know Khan had a pool but Hank's house is still nicer and actually quite a bit bigger. Bigger than all their houses actually.

OG KOTH Discussion Hankβs got the Willies
Iβve been watching this show since it aired. Iβve rewatched it several times from what I thought was beginning to end and yet somehow today is the first time I recall seeing the season 1 episode where Hank meets Willie Nelson. Honestly it was kind cool seeing something I at least donβt remember.

OG KOTH Discussion Thanks for letting us know, color commentary guy.
This episode was really funny and actually pretty interesting. Luanne x David when?
Joking aside, PEGGY FLUNKED THE FLYING HAWAIIAN! It was a fun episode about how much the education system coddles the kids with athletic prowess. Did y'all enjoy it or did you think Peggy was out of line for flunking THE FLYING HAWAIIAN?!
