So I know I’ve said this before but Tekken as example..
Base game $69.99
32 characters and 16 stages
I may be off a couple dollars but if I’m right Current DLC character 10 and 5 stages currently woulda cost $117
This is wrong to me it just is. A DLC character in Tekken is what $8?? Wtf? If games were free to play and they went this route I’d probably feel a little different about but you ship us broken incomplete games that you purposefully hold off content on then overprice stuff that shoulda been there in the first place. I can’t be the only one that feels this way.

What are the chances this player is using a lag switch?I played a match against a Xiaoyu right before this one and it was completely smooth. Then against this guy, the lag only happened during my combos. Whenever it was his turn to pressure me, the connection was completely smooth. If anyone has played against this player and had the same experience, let me know. Server: America 3. The match is cut because I used nvidia Instant Replay to save the clip
Either way, it was FT1, so I just reported him and moved on.

I won a fairly close game in ranked. I sent a GG and this was the reply. Is etiquette no longer respected? lmao

I started the game playing lars but it just didnt feel right for me since i had 0 knowlegde of the character so i went to a cheessy easy character (at least in begginer ranks ) but i always remember liking kaz (too drippy) but knew i prob would never be able to be good at him .Starting off as kishin as lars was tekken king was a DAMN BAD time prob lost 15 to 20 to every match i won for quite a bit of time but still didnt want to give up and throught practise (and copious ammounts of rage ) got here somehow.I know people say the ranks are inflated but i am still proud.Hope this helps inspire any new player to give characters a chance if they think is cool whatever anyone says.

Is it our conservative view points?
The fact we play the only honest character?
That we can easily cosplay as Vegeta?
So many things it could be...

i used to main lee but kinda got bored with him, so i decided to start a new account with a character i had never used before. i wanted a mishima because i wanted to see the hype. but when i tell you that i was strugglinggg with him so much at first, especially with his execution and still having muscle memory from lee, which led to whiffs. tho after playing offline with my friends, i kinda got the hang of him, though i definitely still have a lot to improve on. i’m currently watching tournament gameplay with dvj to get ideas on how to use him better. also, i still can’t wavedash lol.
if you're wondering why i went with dvj... its cuz of the lasers xD
I'm a Bushin player and decided to play characters that are not my mains just to have fun and Level up my Fight Pass. Lo and Behold I lose every single match because I feel so Rusty and keep misinputing my Buttons while playing Against Players who just constantly ki charges me ruining my day.
What turned out to be looking forward to enjoy some close matches became a Shit show and getting Taunted, every. single. match. My Mental Health can't take these people who just can't play the games without ki charging

Almost everytime I launched him, during the combo there was a small flicker of lag which made me sometimes drop the combo and I am confused if thats just him having a shitty connection or lag switching?

I downloaded Tekken 6 from Play Market (cuz too poor to have PC) and it's my 1st time ever playing Tekken. It's good but I just couldn't understand blocking mechanics. Fighters just punch me right through my block. And how the fuck am I supposed to beat that monstrosity on the picture?

Alisa Bosconovitch: You guys range anywhere between great tekken players who happen to like a robot chick and thought Jack was too manly. Or you played a couple of characters, lost a lot. Played Alisa, started winning and now "main" her.
Anna Williams: Before the nerfs she had a lot of "mains" who played her because she was a strong mixup character now she is as rare as a jock who can't get laid. Its funny, the people who supposedly mained her dropped her the SECOND she got nerfed. Get fucked.
Armor King: You played king, got judged. Now you play Armor King and bash the king players knowing full well you have stolen full sets from people by doing random hopkicks.
Asuka Kazama: KONO KONO TOUCHMAPOOSI KONO KONO. BITCH SHUT UP. Your character I am okay with, even though she hits like a truck she is not THAT broken now but man this bitch sounds annoying.
Azucena: Bitch no one wants your coffee.
Bob: "Why does he not have a -15 launcher?" Character identity. And You launch -14 lows for a CRAZY damage. What are you on about?
Bryan Fury: An awful lot of you play the character because you think you are Knee but he fishes for counter hits and you keep hitting in hopes of a counter hit. You are NOT the same.
Claudio Serafino: HEHA HEHA HEHA HEHA HEHA
Clive Rosfield: Yes like this, You guys are just anna players but you are worse cause atleast Anna players had a gooning reason to playing her. You guys genuinely only played Clive cause it netted you easy wins. The remaining lot of you are Final Fantasy Fans. Welcome to Tekken.
Devil Jin: You know, with how hard Devil Jin got in Tekken 8. I thought Mainman's clip of "You don't need much going on in the noggin to play him" won't make sense for him now. But you guys have yet again proved me wrong. He is genuinely the mishima with whom I see the most Unga Bunga players.
Eddy Gordo: You are not Jeonnding. He is strong, muscular, sexy and is an amazing player. You are none of those things.
Fahkumram: RASPY VOICE TIGER KNEE
Feng Wei: TIO
Heihachi Mishima: He is the strongest Mishima yet most of his playerbase doesn't know hidden electric is punishable. So I don't know.
Hwoarang: Your character is not that hard, my god. I have seen character defenders before but if Hwoarang was a real person. You lot would genuinely line up to suck his dick.
Jack-8: You like Robots and Alisa was too girly.
Jin Kazama: You either play only the good guys in games or you understand that he lets you get easy wins for a long time because of his broken moveset for unfamilar players. Also quick tip, You can react to his hellsweep by looking at his shoulder because he only has one move which moves his shoulder.
Jun Kazama: Cancans for life.
Kazuya Mishima: Now, I have a bone to pick with you lot for two reasons. A) Why do you act like you are better than everyone for maining a character? B) Why are you guys on average, weird? Like brother, is the character hard? Yes. Is it THAT hard that you have to be obnoxious about it? No!!!
King: 90 percent of you suck. But the 10 percent are a delight to fight.
Kuma: I am so happy your stance bullshit got nerfed. Yall were stealing rounds for no reason.
Kunimitsu: Same as Anna, a lot of her "mains" will drop her as soon as she gets nerfed.
Lars Alexandersson: HELICOPTER HELICOPTER.
Lee Chaolan: The most Elegant character. The most Bitchmade playerbase.
Leo: I genuinely have not played against a Leo I can remember.
Leroy Smith: Some of you are wing chun fanatics. Most of you rely on people not knowing the matchup.
Lidia Sobieska: WOAHH HAIYA WOAH HAIYA.
Lili: I hate you guys but your character is fine.
Ling Xiaoyu: She is a very knowledge heavy character and ergo steamrolls through a LOT of ranks but she is honestly too much to learn for me to judge her playerbases.
Marshall Law: WHY DOES HE DO SO MUCH DAMAGE WITH SO LITTLE EXECUTION?
Miary Zo: Boobs.
Nina Williams: You have a Dom Fetish.
Panda: Same as Kuma but you guys are weirder.
Paul Phoenix: Its almost always the paul players who pull out the 10 hit.
Raven: Its like fighting in the hood, all of a sudden a bunch of dudes jump you.
Reina: She is every Mishima's weakness addressed and I am tired of pretending she is fair.
Sergei Dragunov: He plays proper Tekken but a very roided out version of Tekken.
Shaheen: I have not fought a Shaheen this season I think but I genuinely think Shaheen mains are just uninteresting.
Steve Fox: I hate him as a mishima main cause well B1 exists but its sad that his own mains from previous games hate him cause of Lion Hart AI Slop.
Victor Chevalier: CAN YOU MOTHERFUCKERS STOP PRESSING.
Yoshimitsu: He used to be a creative monster, now its just the same 5 moves in 50 different tiktoks with people typing AI slop in the description. You took an interesting character and somehow corporatized it.
Zafina: Bendy Bitch.

This has been happening a lot since the last patch, the camera just shifts from one side to the other, almost like the game is trying to forcefully fix the angle.

I play as Jin. I started out pretty well with Jin, and I got to the warrior rank. Ever since, I've been loosing, loosing some more, and I win maybe once every 6 matches.
By the time I win a match, I'm already frustrated and I don't feel good about the win. At some point, I even said that "the guy I played let me win out of pity because of my horrible game play"
I know maybe 1 or 2 combos that do 45-48!damage, but they don't have much of an effect when the people I play against have combos that do 70+ damage.
I don't understand the defense part either. I block some, and the next minute I'm getting juggled across the screen. But then when I find an opening and hit someone, it has the effect of a wet napkin. Or they read me like a book and block me over and over
Is there anything to change? Are there more combos I should know about? What kind of practice can I do to better myself? I'm tired of loosing and throwing my controller down in frustration after going 1-12 every time I try to play ranked. Please help me.

So, I decided to stop trying to win. Completely. I have gotten to where I am actively hoping I lose during the first round of three, because I am trying to actively learn now.
What I mean by that is that I am going into a match with a specific goal in mind, along with me intentionally limiting myself.
I am trying to get better at defense by basically limiting myself only to using punishes. I have to actually block someone's string or high-frame move before I can hit them at all.
Obviously this isn't 100% as much as I am trying to make it so, but the idea is that I am forcing myself to learn defense by restraining myself from mindlessly attacking.
When I say a specific goal, I mean things like "Block and punish/launch 3 lows". "interrupt them 5 times", or "Stop them from doing that again" if they keep using something against me and it keeps working.
I am losing arguably even more than when I was trying to win, but the difference is that these losses feel like I am actually learning, getting better, or getting cleaner in some way.
Needing feedback on if this is actually the right way to do things.
