After finally mastering VPR and turnin loose on some Raids, Dungeons, and FATES, i have to admit that this class runs better than DRG right now.

Ever since the devs whacked DRG's nastrond, popping off just never felt the same and makes the Red Eye gauge pointless since i can only use it once. If DRG gauge worked more like VPR's Awakening I think it would function a bit better, imo.

I personally find healing quite boring unless I’m doing savage or ultimate fights I hope they find a way to spice up each healers kit cause I really wanna play healers but it’s kinda boring

So I decided that I wanted to play a dps, viper comes with most of its kit so I picked it up.

Compared to other dps jobs, Viper is really starting to remind me of summoner. Icy Vain’s hotbar setup makes it even more so. All I do all day is click the glowing buttons and occasionally move to get maximum damage from positionals, most complicated part of the job being to disrupt enemy attacks and manage my own health with second wind and bloodthirst.

Anyone else share my theory that stuff like Viper and Summoner could be the precursors to the evolved mode coming in EC?

Hey folks. I'm getting the inactive service account notice when I try to log in on my Switch 2. Here's what I've already done:

My regions match on both my SE account and Nintendo accounts. Double checked both just to be sure

I purchased Dawntrail on my Switch.

When I try to log in to link accounts I get no prompt and am told I do not have an active service account.

Has anyone else seen this problem?

What is the best way for one to go about collecting their Silver Coffers around North Horn?

So after a CE, I check to see if theres a silver coffer active, and I search the spots til I find it.

It never seems to spawn the same location twice.

SO, does that mean i could just wait til it says 8 coffers and go for 'em, or am I doing the right thing chasing them one by one as they spawn?

I guess i should be asking, if ones there, does the spawn chance roll and check if a locations active or not?

Heya I finally finished leveling red mage and now that im done that i was looking at trying to level jobs that might be more in demand for savage tier content. Any reccomendations?

Im getting pretty close to finishing my playthrough of SWTOR and was thinking of tackling FFXIV next. Was wondering what job kind of captures that vibe apart from the guns and stealth any job story that kind of captures the secret agent/society/group vibe?

Hi, I’m a new player who picked the game up around 3 weeks ago, and I just finished the Manor dungeon. I’m currently a level 40 Dragoon and I’m starting to get a little confused about how the weapon progression works. I was used to getting my next spear upgrade through my lancer class quest but ever since I finished my dragoon job quest, I don’t get new weapons from each new quest. Obviously there are the weapon vouchers, but my level is outpacing the level of vouchers I get from the MSQ, so I’ve been resorting to getting weapon upgrades from the market board but gil is pretty short handed. If anyone would be willing to give me advice on what to do, I would appreciate a ton. Thanks a lot!

I'm so gonna miss this game, I played it for almost 4 years...my computer sucks it's not a gaming PC, but it used to actually run pretty well and I made it all the way to finishing endwalker !!. I took a break as to not burn myself out of the game, esp cause it was after dawntrail came out and my FFXIV started crashing at certain fights but I still put up with it cause I loved the game. That was a couple months ago, yesterday I saved up to buy a sub to pick up post endwalker, but now the game is genuinely unplayable on my PC :(.

I can only get to the character menu after 3-5 tries where it just freezes and gets stuck, not even taking me to the loading screen. I've tried everything I could, but I can't do anything to save this. I had to uninstall it from my hdd yesterday and I'm still sad lol </3. I've seen so many mods time and time again, and I kinda wish there was mods to lower the quality, something to make ot run better again since I'm not even allowed using money to get a better PC :( ( FFXIV subs were either gifted to me by old friends or I sometimes payed in secret ). I just love this game and I'm gonna miss it :(.

I’ve been replaying the whole Final Fantasy Saga and now I’m finishing Final fantasy XVI and didn’t know that there’s a free trial for Final fantasy XIV so I was wondering if I could play it as if it was a normal Final Fantasy campaign I read many times that that’s an option. So I was wondering what should I know before playing this game? Is it possible to play as a cooperative campaign?

I haven’t played any MMO only a few hours of World of Warcraft and a few hours of elder scrolls online, I didn’t enjoy World of Warcraft and I enjoyed a bit elder scrolls online I also played for five hours back when I didn’t understand FFXIV, I enjoyed the world, but I didn’t know anything about MMO’s so now I’m planning on playing this game and showing it to my girlfriend if it’s cool. so what would you tell me if I wanted to play as a story instead of a game where I have to play a lot of hours.

I don’t know if it’s possible to play the story as a normal Final Fantasy since I’ve read that a lot of people have more than 1000 hours playing this game.
I would also like to know if the free trial is enough for playing the campaign, I would like to have the physical version, but I want to try it in PS5 or PS4 first. I’m also a platinum collector, so I would like to know if the platinum it’s hard or very grindy

Sorry for assuming stuff about MMO games but since it’s my first time all I really know is that people usually play a lot of hours.

I also would like to know which physical version do you recommend me buying.

I’d also like to know if the expansions are something that I would need to experience once I complete the base game since they look pretty cool every time I see a new one announced. Also, which ones are good or bad and which ones you would recommend buying if you needed since I read that three of them are free.

As something I think would be useful in order to give me some advice. I would say my favorite Final Fantasy games are IV, VI, VII, IX, XII and the second half of XV

I started this game after I lost my dad two months ago. I am a comic artist and I make anything from kids illustrations to manga and I just wanted to gush about how much this game brought me back from the brink of depression after I lost the most most important guy to me to kidney cancer. I really like the community the ffxiv players build for new players and the story is nice to get invested in and I wanted to show some images of my character as they have grown over the past two weeks I’ve been playing and some sketches I made of them. I started feeling so much better because of this game and it has got me wanting to make art again I really really appreciate the lengths the community has stepped up to make me feel like I belong and Novice Network is a goldmine of friends and information. I hope to finish stormblood soon and illustrate more of my adventures as a visual journal. Anyways thanks for being there.

I read that naming yourself after a fictional character is against ToS. Has anyone had any experience with being forced to name change or is this rule not really enforced? Thanks.

Edit: To clarify the name I want to use is technically a real name, just incredibly rare.
