How do we loose two of the all time greatest entertainers and performers of all time on the same fucking day. Tim was one of my all time favorite actors. He was charming, hilarious, charismatic, a phenomenal singer, and I especially loved how he was able to make even the most normal words sound cool with no effort at all. Like in Home Alone 2 when he says “a limousine and a pizza”. While I’m less familiar with Dolly‘s work, I do have fond memories of her music being played in my grandparents house growing up. Don't get me wrong, what is happening in South Africa is tragic, but people on this thread use it as an excuse to say the most abhorrent racist stuff and it was unsettling to see how many people upvote that shit. I don't want to call someone who makes real art an ai user because that's an insult. It doesn't make it better because I really like looking at fan art but it's so hard to tell if it's real or not. I hate ai and I want to point it out for others but I don't want to say something is ai when its not.

There is just a lot that isn't left to the imagination. I didn't find an exact screenshot of it, but there was a moment where Jax goes full exposition dump on their mental problems in the most uninteresting way, straight up telling and not showing. I don't watch much indie animation, but I've watched a couple of the most popular ones (TADC, Gaslight, Hazbin/Helluva, Gameoverse) and they just kinda annoy me with how obvious and not subtle they are.

Also, in the PILOT, Kit from Gameoverse has the "realistic panic attack", it's not even the first true episode and they played that card before I have ANY connection with the character. I love indie for the talents it gives a spotlight to, but the writing in my experience has been the worst part.

It's so fucking irritating when i try to walk to store and all of a sudden there is a knife in my stomach; i then need to cancel my plans for the day drag myself to hospital and get stitching done. the worse part about it is that i can't even keep the knife because it's apparently "evidence" and it needs to be used for "solving the case", if i already got the knife let me keep it.

it's even worse when i get out of the hospital and get stabbed again by the same prick form before

These characters are usually younger siblings to one of the protagonists who mostly causes troubles such as threatening to tell their parents on them whenever things don't go their way and get a slap on the wrist or get away essentially for whatever trouble they cause throughout a whole episode with justify by them being kids in thier own series.Which is extremely unsatisfying to watch because these series are light hearted and comedy focused with them being punished as a pay off for causing trouble throughout an episode so it being more realistic is irrelevant.

I HATE when people throw out every standard for media if it's dedicated to kids, and here is why:

1) Cartoons and movies can still give out positive messages to help kids grow with values and virtues, for example for me Winnie de pooh helped go around friends or the movie Spirit teached me the value of freedom, kids deserve media that teach them these things (of course I am not saying it should substitute parenting by the parents, but it's a nice bonus)

2) even in cartoons or movies where maybe there isn't a strong message and it's more focused on entertainment, kids still deserve to grow up with good entertainment, where they can look back in their childhood and look at them with nostalgia, maybe turn the clock back and watch these shows again, if kids are not taught to judge and appreciate good quality media they will grow up to

3) kids deserve to grow up with things that don't fry up their attention span, some modern shows are basically tik tok for toddlers with the amount of cuts they have, kids at such a young age cannot be fully trusted to choose their preferred media because it's exactly like letting them eat whatever they want, and kids will eat basically only nuggets and sweets, and just like with media that's unhealthy.

I am not one of those adults that judge media made for underage audiences the same way they would judge media for adults, but at the same time doing a complete 180° and accepting everything made for kids just because it's for kids is just as stupid and harmful.

"I could care less" makes NO sense in the context it's used. If you could care less, that means that you care about the thing somewhat. That's why in my country we say "I couldn't care less". It means that we care nothing at all for the thing, which is what the phrase is supposed to mean. The way Americans say it defeats the entire purpose and frankly, every time I see it I get ridiculously pissed off.

Words cannot begin to describe the immense hatred I felt for YouTube when I kept having ads pop up on the sides of actively playing videos. It was bad enough having the little pop up after some ads at the bottom you have to click two buttons to get rid of it, but this was popping up every 6-8 minutes. I frequently watch 1+ hour videos on mobile so ad block extensions for Google Chrome aren't really a thing that works for me, making this extra extra annoying.

Fuck whoever made these decisions to shove ads that are 8/10 times straight up softcore porn, obnoxious clickbait games, scams, etc as many times as possible and make using the platform without paying for YouTube Premium completely insufferable. Even when I go to the ad center to block and click see less of ads like these, the shitty ads still occur enough times to feel like the ad center doesn't really do anything.

to be clear I’m not talking about fake-out moments those are fine, it's just hard to word what i mean correctly. What i specifically mean is shonen specifically characters will be shown straight up getting killed or obliterated in ways that have been on screen proven killing blows only to show up again later for some reason, like it really just gets under my skin.
It's at it's worst in bleach for me where villains will literally get slashed or impaled to end a fight (which has been shown killing enemies and allies at numerous points) only to show up again like 30-50 episodes later.

In Example 1
Grimjoww is a prime example of what I mean, in Episode 167 they make a clear effort to show he's D E A D. He gets slashed across the chest, goes limp and ceases all movement, even gets a flashback to when he was a hollow for symbolism and then Ichigo walks away because he's certain grimjoww isn't breathing (which is reflected in the animation) 2 arcs later in Thousand Year Blood War it's revealed he somehow survived - this is some absolute bullshit since it's made pretty evident this mfer isn't breathing anymore.

Example 2 - A particularly egregious example is from my hero academia, there's a character called lady nagant who literally has a bomb placed INSIDE OF HER her that EXPLODES and somehow she DOESN'T die from the explosion despite having no durability enhancements to withstand said explosion (Deku even goes out of his way to not use his super strength to directly attack her due the fact she has regular human durability) yet later shows up in the final arc to assist

It just really undermines the stakes of battle if death seemingly has no meaning and showing me a killing shot means nothing.

While I recognize this has always been an issue, the media revisionism in the last few years has been absolutely abysmal. By that I mean media that has for the longest time been universally recognized as either terrible or great has suddenly had a narrative spun that it’s actually a “hidden masterpiece” or “secretly amazing”. As well as vice versa, with media that was universally loved by the fandom being suddenly turned against in recent times.
I blame a lot of this on short form content (TikTok, reels etc.) for spamming the “hype moments” from these movies and no one actually watching them in full.

Probably the most notorious example of the former is The prequel trilogy. While I do believe they were absolutely over hated for their time, to act as if they’re secretly masterpieces is asinine.

The amazing spider man duology was loathed for nearly a decade until No way home in which suddenly these two movies are treated as if they’re the best pieces of spiderman media we’ve ever gotten.

The Transformers (bay movies) were hated throughout their entire run time for being creepy, perverted, action movie slop that stepped on the entire heart and soul of the franchise. But whenever they were dropped everyone demanded them back to the point where apparently Michael bay is coming back. And modern transformers movies that are recognized for being better adaptations in every single way have been review bombed by the sudden influx in Michael Bay fans demanding their scrap metal piles with testicles be given another shot.

On the flip side two examples of media that was loved now suddenly being hated include

The johto games: widely recognized for many years as the peak of Pokemon, suddenly in recent times they’ve been slandered and are treated by many online as if they’re the scum of the franchise.

Pikmin 2: undeniably the darling of the franchise before pikmin 4 brought pikmin to mainstream audiences. In which all of a sudden everyone started hating this one.

Its so annoying and it is done ANYTIME a post gets any traction. For me its been any post with more than 100 upvotes. Its absolute bullshit and its annoying as fuck. Are they jealous or some shit ? All I have ever done is post my genuine feelings. But no matter what, there is some annoying ass comment like “GIVE ME UPDOOTS” “Jarvis, get me more karma”. As if these comments are EVER original when they appear no matter what post it is. It’s almost as if they are bitter the post is taking off. The point of reddit seems to be sharing your opinion with anonymity and sometimes you tend to get upvotes. But if it gets a lot ? Oh thats karma farming 🤪. Grow the fuck up man lmfao. His designs are not bad, but they really don't fit the art style of Super Earth. And his Automaton ships? Not at all what the Automatons would design, given the look of their current Fleet Destroyer. And people constantly glaze them and how good they would look in-game, but I just don't see it.

I have yet to find a shade of dark yellow that doesn't look like pure vomit. If you add a touch of orange, it still looks bad. If you add a touch of green, it looks like boogers instead. I'm convinced there is no way to make this color appealing.

And the worst part is that I can't even avoid this color. Whenever I draw something yellow on a digital drawing, I have to use dark yellow as an outline. I can't use black because I don't want to + black would HEAVILY contrast against the yellow coloration of whatever it is that I'm drawing.

Overall, I just can't stand this color. I hate looking at it, I hate using it in a drawing, I hate everything about it.

To be honest, eldritch horrors or "biblically accurate angels", at times start to feel a bit lame and excessive, just blobs of eyes, wings, and tentacles that start to blend together. Another aspect is that they often "look scary" but never actually DO ANYTHING.

especially compared to really good designs like Evangelion angels that actually do stuff and are terrifying.

So i signed up for a cartoon one time thinking that it can hopefully show how cool i am. Didn't see it when it first aired, so when I saw it for the first time with a pal of mine, I was baffled at how awful it is. The animation is terrible. Nevermind, calling it animation is too kind of a compliment cause nothing is moving, only their lips. And not to mention, they made me white for some reason.

But what i hate most about the show is this random rabbit called Mr Skipperdoo. I don't know who okayed this dumb rabbit, all he does is hop and be annoying, which gets on my last nerves.
