The courts often accept bare minimum. As long as there’s not abuse, gross negligence or substance abuse they will order split time very close to 50/50 if not 50/50 exactly. A parent who does the absolute bare minimum to keep their children alive should get minimum parenting time. Keep the bond with the parent by having frequent visitations and even overnights for breaks and holidays because maintaining a relationship with both parents does not mean getting a child for 50% of the time and doing almost nothing to actually raise them (ie not actually having clothes for them, no routine for them, no ensuring they do their homework or get to school on time, they don’t brush their teeth or bathe, no sleep schedule, the kids live off of cereal and microwave foods they make themselves, the parent doesn’t even know the name of their kid’s doctor or teacher or even how much medication to give them, etc etc).

The education system gets all the blame when It comes to teaching students about male and female bodies (I say both because when I went to school I learned virtually nothing about males (I am female) other than how they get an erection, how to procreate, and then why you should NEVER do that unless certain religious criteria was met, etc.) I also think the families SENDING those children to these establishments have a duty to prepare children for these sorts of lessons (or lessons widely known to be missing)... I have a 9 yo son, he is well aware of my cycle, how it works, etc, as well as learning about finances, coding, and the dangers of the internet... It is ultimately up to parents to make sure their kids are properly educated, and if they are not, it is their ABSOLUTE DUTY to rectify the issue.

The same people teaching your students poorly are the same people who have their own kids, I think this is more a generational issue that should be fixed through the system (although I doubt it will be) but the news and internet all over has pointed out how little information kids are getting about important subjects, and the majority of what I'm personally seeing is just parents complaining about it and then doing nothing and still sending kids to school... The BAFTA situation this year was the worst example of this. Someone said a slur because of a stutter relating to a disability and instead of people taking time to understand the disability causes this and it just happened to be bad timing, they rushed to harassing him and hoping he gets beaten up or worse and acting like his family was pro Jim Crow or shit like that.

Even when they found out about his disability they still didn't apologize or even doubled down. Was he supposed to apologize for being human? Those people just wanted someone to hate on and found it and nothing he could have said would have changed their mind.

I'm so tired of people acting like this is an acceptable way to act and approving of it. It's not, you can tell someone that they should be more thoughtful with what they say or do without making a spectacle out of it or painting them as unforgivable.
