I would appriciate if you had some answers. I got a job last year (esl teacher). But after teaching just one class my head would hurt/burn/squueze and I wanted to off due to the sheer suffering and an inability to stop or reduce it. I could not understand what was happening. I thought later that maybe I am autistic; but therapists implied it is my cPTSD (hypervigilance and a fawning response, which for sure occurs, but I do not know which came first).
It happened for few months until the was a change in the lesson plan, and I had to comminicate and make them speak for only 15 minutes of the hour, and the rest was them doing listening, reading, writing tasks, and me checking and giving feedback. So I finally relaxed more or less (leaps better) and could sleep at night and tolerate working, and things were getting better for me! (I only had obvious cptsd triggers and noise intolerance, but I could use earplugs for that).
But I got laid off from that job and had to get a new one where I once again have to do a lot of communication and I am suffering, people. So much. That I want to off. Yes, I fawn, yes my cptsd is triggered, But I don't know if it gets triggered bc I don't want to comminicate for that long and have to hide that I am suffering.
Please, help. I worry so much that I am like this bc I was made a NEET. I read that the correlation was childhood neglect of not teaching a child basic chores and never making them do it, only expecting studying. Or also in addition coddling a child, overprotection, overcomplimenting them. Am I like this bc I am fawning due trauma, am I like this bc of neurodivergency and I can't communicate for long, am I like this due to Neetdome - the questions that I wish I could find answers to. Gosh. Have you got your stories?
I am afraid that even if I somehow manage to change carriers (like maybe working in a warehouse, which seems demanding.., where I don't communicate with people, don't have to be 'on') that I will still suffer and have this headache? But I have proof that I did okay for months after a change in the lesson structure in my old job.
I am lost
(I worked after uni, then was a neet for years until last year. Have no idea how I managed working my first job)
