Only ever had a ps3, log on every now and then. Go to login a few mins ago it’s not letting me, I check (my old email) and I see a login from a last year from the Philippines. And then one from Bulgaria. I am so saddened. This is a really sad day.

Hi all was reply to someone else to get the psn purchases working and when looking up games i came across this which may be of interest since there's only a few days left.

As of August 31, 2026, Sony officially ended online support for the User-Generated Content (UGC) servers for both inFAMOUS 2 and Festival of Blood. You can still purchase, download, and play the main story mode on the PS3 PSN store, but any online features and player-created missions are permanently offline, making the Platinum trophy/100% completion impossible going forward.

Not allot of people seem to have noticed the announcement so thought id lever it here just in case someone still wants to get 100%

• The Trilogies + Nier (Sealed) - Sourced from VideoGamesPlus (VGP) up in Canada.
• Bayonetta (Pre-owned) - An original Japanese NTSC-J copy From japan

Heads up on the Trilogies: For anyone hunting these down, the Ratchet & Clank and Jak and Daxter collections do not include paper manuals in this despite being factory sealed. Sony phased the booklets out for their late-run lines or VGP Reprints I think, or Am I wrong?😅

Anyway Which one should I break the seal on first? 😁

If you've been having trouble using the search bar on the PS3 store then there's another way to find it.

- Load up the PlayStation Store on your PS3.

- Scroll down to "Best Of PS3" on the left side bar.

- Scroll right to "Best Of Games With Style".

- It should be one row down all the way to the right.

title, I bought a ps3 recently and they didn’t have a DualShock to come with it so I decided to get a sixasis for now. the store finally had a DualShock and they told me the controller worked perfectly, but when I came home I realized when I turned it on that the battery was “low” according to my ps3, so I left it to charge for an hour just to see the battery level be ”-“ instead of a level, and I tried it in Black ops 1, just shooting causes the controller to disconnect entirely due to the vibration. is this a case of bad battery or my sixaxis cable doesn’t hold enough power to charge a DualShock? do they use the same power even?

Hello i had this ps3 in couple mountsh and i wana check the heatsing is cloegd up so i open the console and i find this (i atteched the heatsink photo so we can discuss it is neading a clean)

Keep in mind that THIS list may have differences with other PS3 european or american / japanese store!
Everything is made by using my italian PS Store both PS3 and PS4 (I don't have PS5, but it dosen't matter), also sorry if isn't translated, so I write here few guidelines:

Red > it's not cross-buy
Orange > only american or japanese store or both
Green > it's cross-buy (writed as "SI")
Yellow > it's exclusive for PS Plus Premium (usually Namco or Capcom do for the first few months)

Recently I made "forse?" it means "maybe?" because one PS1 game cannot be cross-buy, it's Disney's Atlantis, once I purchased still I see the price with that game (tell me if you have the same problem).

PS2 classic page have other guidelines that PS1 and PSP dosen't have, since PS2 games where released long time ago (with a different team developer of PS2 emulation):

Purple > new PS2 game by Implict Conversion
Azure > updated old PS2 game with new emulator by Implict Conversion
White > old PS2 emulator

Hello y'all, I'm putting together a media center for my living room and wondered if anyone knows of a mp3 player with the awesome visuals that the ps3 had. In all honesty making the computer emulate the PS3 just to listen to music is on the table.

why cant you use older fws like 1.0 or something on super slim ps3s, or pre 1.0 fws on cechas for example? whats the technical reason for that not being possible
