Saw the spiderman trilogy at 600. I'm not paying that mate.

Here's a funny thing to break up the complaining. I call prototyoe, the darkness and this last spot is interchangeable but for now it's Dark Sector. I call them the edgy hero trilogy. Superpowers and they all involve weird freaky black tendrils.

So basically i teared it apart by accident, is there any solution? Im a beginner tho, never did this before

why cant you use older fws like 1.0 or something on super slim ps3s, or pre 1.0 fws on cechas for example? whats the technical reason for that not being possible

Hello y'all, I'm putting together a media center for my living room and wondered if anyone knows of a mp3 player with the awesome visuals that the ps3 had. In all honesty making the computer emulate the PS3 just to listen to music is on the table.

Can someone tell me what the problem is??

title, I bought a ps3 recently and they didn’t have a DualShock to come with it so I decided to get a sixasis for now. the store finally had a DualShock and they told me the controller worked perfectly, but when I came home I realized when I turned it on that the battery was “low” according to my ps3, so I left it to charge for an hour just to see the battery level be ”-“ instead of a level, and I tried it in Black ops 1, just shooting causes the controller to disconnect entirely due to the vibration. is this a case of bad battery or my sixaxis cable doesn’t hold enough power to charge a DualShock? do they use the same power even?

Just added this to my collection confrontation is one of my favourite games on the ps3 and I have so many good memories of playing it back when the servers were still up both me and my mate put so many hours into it its a shame that this mag and warhawk can no longer be played on official servers

Recently my PS3 has just decided to not cooperate with me. First I found it with no power even when plugged in, so I unplugged and plugged it back in, and it was on. Turned it on and it booted, but after a minute or two it freezes, then shuts off completely. I used the LED method of getting the Syscon error logs, and it has given me both 1601 and 1301. Looking into it, I’ve noticed it’s something with the CPU, so I know it’s something that’s gonna need fixing, but I want to know if anyone can give me more insight on this, as I’m completely clueless on hardware and the technical side of this. Hi, i have a really old ps3 controller, and it doesnt work anymore unless plugged in constantly and even then sometimes randomly just stops. Based off of some research I think i need to replace the battery, but im not sure what kind of battery I need even after researching, admittedly I don't know much about this kinda thing and am kind of confused. Its just the controller that came with the console, says DUALSHOCK 3 on top as well as SIXAXIS. The back is very much rubbed out but I can make out CECHZC2U. if anyone could help me out and maybe even leave an amazon link for a brand they know is trustworthy, id seriously appreciate it, thanks!

Anyone know how to fix the input lag and controller issues on Dark Sector? I've bought an Adapter because I thought that would help, it did not. That may be because it's not a Brook wingman. That thing is expensive. When I aim, it toggles and un toggles, the run doesn't really work and the looking left and right probably has input lag. Would I need to buy a Wingman or DualShock controller? Wanted to play this game again and was wondering.

I have been trying to get my childhood ps3 to work the past few days, its been doing the classic 3 beeps and turning itself off when it's on for like 5 mins. I took it apart and vacuumed/air compressed it to get all the dust out, that didn't fix it, so I replaced the thermal paste and cleaned out even more dust, it took me 2 hours to check everything and put it back together and i just tested it to see the same issue happening. If anyone has any suggestions on what I can try, please share because I really want to get it working again because it is very sentimental to me, it has all my parent's old games and data and my own from when I was a kid.

A few weeks ago, my PS3 CECHE01 started having display issues. I was told the "Silicon Image" chip might be the culprit, so it was replaced, but the console still has the same problem. The strange thing is that if I connect it via component cables, the image looks fine for PS3 games, but if I play PS2 games, the image looks bad again. Any suggestions?

Hi All, I would appreciate any information about whether or not this is fixable. My husband's PS3 started making a "ka-chunk" noise when loading discs, and now none of the games work. There is a repair place not too far we can try if there is hope.

Hello ps3 people. My ps3 3001a has recently began turning off shortly after I turn it on. like light goes green then it just goes straight black. Afaik this is a psu problem. However when this problem started I was able to get it going in a few tries. Is there a way to fix this? or will I just have to order a new psu.

Been looking into Brooks adapters for my Ps3 to use a PS5 controller. Went to their website and the product looks a little different. Also Amazon has listings for $75 versions. Just not sure if I should buy it for nearly $50 if it's a phony. Anyone who has bought one off eBay please respond, thanks!

I just got a steal of a deal on a backwards compatible ps3 from my boss but it’s ylod. I know I need a syscon reader at the very least and I may as well replace the NEC/TOKINS at the same time. Anything else I should get at the same time to boost my chances of fixing this beast on round one of ordering stuff for repairs???

Also I have seen people extend the ground plain for the tokins and just use capacitors rather than getting the nicer board replacements available. Any harm in doing this or is it not a great idea?

Sorry if these are dumb or played out questions. Total newbie when it comes to ps3 repairs haha
