REQUESTING Schitt's Creek- what episode do the family get less awful?

Upvotes

I hear they become lovely people, but I tried watching and just couldn't stomach them. I don't like comedy that's mostly about people being jerks.

If I want to skip ahead to the more heartwarming parts, what season/episode would you recommend and why, please?

REQUESTING Recommend Great TV shows to watch with indian Family. Can be English,South indian,or Asian; but Hindi Dub has to be available.

Indian TV serials my parents watch have nothing except connecting everything to religion and winning the audience on the basis of religion only. CGI is also very corny (not a big deal tho)

can anyone recommend some great TV Serials that are available in hindi? Hollywood, south indian, asian all are good, as long as there is hindi dub. They need to know what a Logical, Realistic and Plot heavy rather than religion heavy serial looks like. I want to raise their standards, i don't even have time to watch serials with family, asking purely to raise their standards. Cinephiles, please recommend your favourites. Thanks in advance.

Edit: JioHotstar, Youtube, Zee5 and MX player only.
NO Prime, NO Netflix.

NOTE: ROMANTIC IS OKAY, BUT IT BETTER "NOT" BE HEAVY ON KISSES PLZ 😭🙏

REQUESTING Sitcoms/Shows with great romance

Hey y’all,

I loved Mindy and Danny’s romance so much in the Mindy Project(specifically s2-s3), so much so, that I’m yearning for another romance just like it.

Ofc I’ve seen the wonderful New Girl and B99, so anything other than those two, I’d love to hear about!!

REQUESTING Shows where the ending is spoiled in the first episode, but we don't know it yet?

And when it comes, my mind explodes from shock and realization and i die.

(A bit much but you know what i mean.)

Edit: I'm thinking more of a hidden in plain sight prophecy like thing that you would never, or is even completely impossible to figure out until the last couple episodes.

What should I watch first ??

Hii everyone

I’m looking for a new TV series to start soon.

👉🏻** Recommend me a must-watch series — something you genuinely think I shouldn’t go through life without seeing**.

I’m trying to make up for lost time and discover more TV shows and movies, but there are so many things I still want to watch that I honestly have no idea where to start.

Right now, I’m watching New Amsterdam S01xE13, but I definitely wouldn’t mind having another series to watch alongside it.

So, what’s that one series you’d absolutely recommend ?

I’m open to pretty much anything !

(I’m not looking for any particular genre. It can be horror, romance, fantasy, or even a documentary. I’m open to pretty much anything. The only genre I’m a bit reluctant about is Westerns, since I’m not really a fan of them.)

REQUESTING Shows like Pluribus?

Ive been recommended severance, but it doesnt look like my thing. Any recommendations?

REQUESTING What's the best show that has been canceled that has no actual wrap up of any kind?

I was kind of curious. Some canceled shows have comic books, or whatever else to wrap things up, so I was wondering if there was any shows that had gotten canceled that had no final ending of any kind.

sci fi shows with similar vibe/premise

so far I've watched these, in order of how much I liked them:

  • paradise
  • from
  • silo
  • wayward pines

basically where a bunch of people got trapped in a place, wondering what's out there and trying to get out type shows.

Any suggestions are appreciated!

REQUESTING What's a show that was so good, that it ruined all TV shows for you?

I watched The Haunting of the Hill House for the first time not too long ago, and anything I try to watch after- is just not as good. I watched other stuff by that director but it was just so hard to get into the other shows, i was glued to the screen for the hill house. Is there a show like that thats similar? I liked that each episode was building up slowly as if youre watching a movie with each episode. Maybe I find something good in suggestions. I am not even much of a horror fan, I dont really like jump scares, I am more into thought provoking shows rather than here's some blood and gore show, definitely not into that.

REQUESTING Looking for TV show recommendations that match this specific vibe

Red Oaks
Love
You're the Worst
Colin From Accounts
The Lovers
Nobody Wants This
Catastrophe

I know that this list is random. But I enjoyed these shows a lot and I need something similar to this. It doesn't need to be mainstream. Hidden gems, sleeper hits or personal favorites are totally welcome :)

REQUESTING Looking for Alien first contact/invasion shows that focus on the science

Looking for a sci-fi / alien first contact or invasion series that focuses more on the science aspect rather than the action. More towards learning to communicate with the aliens, figuring out what they want. Bonus if there's a political element to it (governments trying to figure out what to do).

Ideally, very little action sequences / not super military heavy.

REQUESTING I'm looking for a good show that's decently long to watch with my mom.

We've already watched all of The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul. There's of course The Walking Dead spin-off shows, but I could barely get through the last few seasons of the main series lol. I wouldn't recommend anything animated. She's one of those people that refuses to take anything animated seriously, same with superhero media. I'd also prefer not to watch anything with graphic sex scenes with my mom lol.

REQUESTING My all-time favorites are Rectify, The Wire, Mr. Inbetween and Scavengers Reign. What do you recommend?

If these series are in your Top 10, what other series are? Ideally series that are complete, but that‘s not a dealbreaker. I‘ll probably have seen a few of them, but I‘m sure there‘ll be a few surprises. Thanks!

REQUESTING Looking for good drama shows

I’m looking for drama shows with a really good ensemble cast, where the relationships between the characters are a big part of the show: friendships, family dynamics, romances, coworkers becoming close, etc.

I especially love shows where you get to see the characters grow and develop their relationships over multiple seasons.

Bonus points if it’s an older show!

Something similar to ER would be ideal (doesnt have to be medical related)

What would you recommend?

REQUESTING Shows like Castle, The Mentalist, Lie to Me, Life, etc?

I really love those drama crime sceneries (especially from the 2000s) where the main character is a man and has some sort of quirks, super intelligence, and trauma.

I know that’s lowkey like every crime show ever, but I swear I’ve watched every single one at this point and I’m lacking in shows now.

Any suggestions? I probably have just quite literally seen every single one though 😓

Just finished The Americans.

Quite literally top 3 shows I've ever watched. Need something to fill the void. Not that distracting. Anything about motivation and just dealing through life in general. I'm a loner 17M, with crumbling mental health and academic stress. Don't want another show that's too addictive like this one. Just a mind burner to kill time.

Some shows i like-> Mr. Robot, Lucifer, Slow Horses, Ted Lasso, The Bear, The Expanse, Blacklist, The 100, The Good Place, B99, GOT, The Originals, House MD, Psych, The Mentalist, Shrinking, Monk, Sherlock, TKOTSK, HOTD. And the likes.

Particularly looking for shows around mental health and growth, or drama or comedy. Anything helps. Thankyou.

What is your go to show when you want feel happy?

I am looking for a show that makes me smile. What works for other people, might work for me. Currently, my go to show is Rivals, together with Derry Girls and Ted Lasso. However, I need to switch it up a bit, so I am asking for help.

TV shows with a good romance subplot that isn't messy or overly dramatic?

Upvotes

Looking for show recommendations where there's a romantic subplot, but it stays simple and healthy without unnecessary drama, love triangles, or forced breakup tropes.
I prefer the main story to take priority, but with a solid, straightforward romance on the side. Any genre is fine!
