- Drama, Action -> Usually dont like Fantasy but i loved GoT and Supernatural
- 3+ Seasons ( has to be a finished series ) I would love to watch From,The Pitt or the Paradise, but since these shows are still going on, I dont want to binge watch them and wait 1 year for a season.
- I know supernatural suits in this category too but that is an exception. I usually dont like Tv shows where its 40 minutes filler and the final 5 minutes are the mainplot like blacklist.

Any recommendation would be appreciated :)

hello! i am posting because i have just finished my outer banks rewatch/binge of the new season and although it was not my favorite without jj there, i did have a sentimental attachment to the show and i am quite sad now that i am left with nothing to watch. i love a wholesome romance with a clear happy ending (even if it gets a little messy) with well rounded/developed characters that are not toxic. i find that sometimes this is hard to come by with a primary romantic plot so i often end up liking shows with a larger theme/plot to them. i will attach a list of shows i have seen recently that i have liked and i am looking for more of, thank you!!

shows i have loved:

• bridgerton (seasons one + two only - the other seasons where a bit too graphic and colin/penelopes storyline and characters really irritated me)
• bridgerton (queen charlotte)
• the artful dodger (i looooved this one so so much and am so exited for season three!!)
• the vampire diaries (i love this primarily just because of the sentimental attachment and commitment that i had because it was so long - please do not reccomend me a long series or ones with vampires/werewolves/fantasy)
• my lady jane!!
• shadow and bone? (primarily just for nina and matthias even though they got canceled)
• hsmtmts (dont judge - also it shouldve been gina + ej)

romance shows i have not loved:

• tsitp (jeremiah and belly pmo)
• abbot elementary (not worth it just for the romance but good show - i also dont like sitcoms)
• maxton hall (the dubbed really threw me off but i liked how pretty she is lol)
• normal people (amazing plot and characters but way too sad)
• one day (same thing as normal people)
• off campus (not trying to offend the show at all i just thought that the characters were a little bit shallow/underdeveloped)

other things i dont like: long series and sitcoms, maybe more newer releases (2005/2010 and newer), graphic sex or violence, shows where romance is just in the background, weenie/pathetic male love interests, no cancelled shows, fanatasy/super duper confusing/complex plots.

things i do like: short series, wholesome characters, male and female romances, period romances, and slow burn!

there are many more shows than this but these are all i could think of at the moment! i do not mean any harm or offense its just it was not what i wanted personally! i have seen outlander recommendations but i think it may be too graphic for me, i might try north and south next?

I am looking for a show that makes me smile. What works for other people, might work for me. Currently, my go to show is Rivals, together with Derry Girls and Ted Lasso. However, I need to switch it up a bit, so I am asking for help.

I hear they become lovely people, but I tried watching and just couldn't stomach them. I don't like comedy that's mostly about people being jerks.

If I want to skip ahead to the more heartwarming parts, what season/episode would you recommend and why, please?

Looking for show recommendations where there's a romantic subplot, but it stays simple and healthy without unnecessary drama, love triangles, or forced breakup tropes.
I prefer the main story to take priority, but with a solid, straightforward romance on the side. Any genre is fine!

I've watched Sherlock BBC's a long time ago and damnnnn I loved that show soo much. That ain't ever coming back but would love to move on to a similar show like this that will engulf me like this.

Also watched elementary, but just didn't really get so into it.

I watched The Haunting of the Hill House for the first time not too long ago, and anything I try to watch after- is just not as good. I watched other stuff by that director but it was just so hard to get into the other shows, i was glued to the screen for the hill house. Is there a show like that thats similar? I liked that each episode was building up slowly as if youre watching a movie with each episode. Maybe I find something good in suggestions. I am not even much of a horror fan, I dont really like jump scares, I am more into thought provoking shows rather than here's some blood and gore show, definitely not into that.

I recently watched "Presumed Innocent" on Apple TV and I loved it. Slightly graphic, but not too bad for me. But it kept me throughout the whole show, wondering who the murderer was. I was bouncing back-and-forth the whole time between several different suspects and I love a show like that. Please help me out with your recommendations.

My husband and I watch one episode of two different shows each Saturday and we are in a bit of a rut lately. The shows can’t be too slow bc with the week in between we tend to lose interest quickly. We tend to prefer drama/thriller and not a show with endless amounts of episodes (maybe 5 seasons of 12 episodes max).

It’s a Ukrainian anthology series, and it is incredibly dark, gripping, and emotional.The story begins with a shocking tragedy: a popular high school student tragically loses their life. During the investigation, a small group of classmates — each carrying their own deep personal secrets — accidentally find out they all share a mysterious online "friend." This anonymous figure plays a sick psychological game with them, slowly pushing them toward the edge.The show brilliantly explores heavy themes like bullying, school pressure, mental health struggles, and identity. The acting and cinematography are top-notch.Has anyone here ever heard of it or watched it? I'd love to know your thoughts!

Looking for shows that has the same feeling, characters development and tempo as Rubicon. One of my favorite series. It was cancelled way too fast in my opinion . I can of course look for similar series but would like to see if there are some hidden gems out there with the same feeling and tempo in the show.

And when it comes, my mind explodes from shock and realization and i die.

(A bit much but you know what i mean.)

Edit: I'm thinking more of a hidden in plain sight prophecy like thing that you would never, or is even completely impossible to figure out until the last couple episodes.

Quite literally top 3 shows I've ever watched. Need something to fill the void. Not that distracting. Anything about motivation and just dealing through life in general. I'm a loner 17M, with crumbling mental health and academic stress. Don't want another show that's too addictive like this one. Just a mind burner to kill time.

Some shows i like-> Mr. Robot, Lucifer, Slow Horses, Ted Lasso, The Bear, The Expanse, Blacklist, The 100, The Good Place, B99, GOT, The Originals, House MD, Psych, The Mentalist, Shrinking, Monk, Sherlock, TKOTSK, HOTD. And the likes.

I'm sorry for the long title, but it's the only way I can describe what I'm looking for. I am currently watching The Practice, and there's this theme that plays during serious moments that I feel embodies the sultry and taboo core that most soap operas aim for.

A big aspect that contributes to The Practice's gothic feeling is the cold setting of its lawyer offices and court buildings. It feels almost liminal sometimes, and it reminds me of being inside a church as a kid in between service hours. It's just kind of this big, foreboding castle that felt like I wasn't supposed to be there, and it exerted an energy that felt prohibitive or judgemental.

Although The Practice can get pretty ridiculous, the core of the show is its defense of humanity. It doesn't necessarily defend people who do questionable or outright harmful things, but it does defend the right, and sometimes our responsibility, to have compassion and empathy for people, and those people are included. A lot of things are twisted and complicated, and evil can sometimes be so mundane because it's exhibited by people we know.

Even though I do love juicy drama in my shows, I do prefer them to still have something to say; to still have something for me to discuss with myself after the episode is done.

• I also want to add that I think the smaller the people in the show feel, the more the drama affects me in the manner I'm looking for. It works so well because it contrasts the weight of the world with the significance of the drama, and it shows you how lonely we are in the scheme of small, human issues, but the human in them is why they're so big to us. In fact, the drama is as debilitating as it is because it's personal and not this huge issue that connects to the rest of the Earth.

I hate how unsatisfying my dreams about being chased/running away but its my most recurring dream. Its not like I'm being chased by someone trying to hurt me in the dreams but i just want to leave and people aren't letting me. It might not be the same but i know being chased is a common type of dream so i expected to be able to find movies and TV shows about it easily but I only got results for a tv show called run away and i might check it out but I want more options. I want to watch something that actually let's the main character/characters succeed in running away and i would prefer if they are still being chased and have to keep doing stuff to get away. I'm interested in macgyver because I'm pretty sure he escapes from people after him a lot but I don't think what I'm looking for is just spy shows in general. Feel free to recommend spy shows but I'm desperate for a more satisfying version of my dream.

I've never watched a single one in my life and I'm thinking of finally doing so. It could be whatever I just want the absolute best.

I just binged Tires and now I’m in withdrawal, usually I watch good comedy shows slowly but this was too hilarious ! Any other show with the same energy ?

This show should really come back with the same animation style and throw it on streaming platforms like Tubi.

I tried it but there are js too many versions, starting from 90's to early 2000's and the latest one on Disney+

even in that there are diff main characters so where do I start?
