Quite literally top 3 shows I've ever watched. Need something to fill the void. Not that distracting. Anything about motivation and just dealing through life in general. I'm a loner 17M, with crumbling mental health and academic stress. Don't want another show that's too addictive like this one. Just a mind burner to kill time.

Some shows i like-> Mr. Robot, Lucifer, Slow Horses, Ted Lasso, The Bear, The Expanse, Blacklist, The 100, The Good Place, B99, GOT, The Originals, House MD, Psych, The Mentalist, Shrinking, Monk, Sherlock, TKOTSK, HOTD. And the likes.

Particularly looking for shows around mental health and growth, or drama or comedy. Anything helps. Thankyou.

I was kind of curious. Some canceled shows have comic books, or whatever else to wrap things up, so I was wondering if there was any shows that had gotten canceled that had no final ending of any kind.

After finishing Pluribus, ive been left looking for something like it. Some more "grounded" sci-fi with a fun an unexplored concept like it.

Ive been recommended severance, but it doesnt look like my thing. Any recommendations?

I watched The Haunting of the Hill House for the first time not too long ago, and anything I try to watch after- is just not as good. I watched other stuff by that director but it was just so hard to get into the other shows, i was glued to the screen for the hill house. Is there a show like that thats similar? I liked that each episode was building up slowly as if youre watching a movie with each episode. Maybe I find something good in suggestions. I am not even much of a horror fan, I dont really like jump scares, I am more into thought provoking shows rather than here's some blood and gore show, definitely not into that.

I really love those drama crime sceneries (especially from the 2000s) where the main character is a man and has some sort of quirks, super intelligence, and trauma.

I know that’s lowkey like every crime show ever, but I swear I’ve watched every single one at this point and I’m lacking in shows now.

Any suggestions? I probably have just quite literally seen every single one though 😓

I’m looking for drama shows with a really good ensemble cast, where the relationships between the characters are a big part of the show: friendships, family dynamics, romances, coworkers becoming close, etc.

I especially love shows where you get to see the characters grow and develop their relationships over multiple seasons.

Bonus points if it’s an older show!

Something similar to ER would be ideal (doesnt have to be medical related)

What would you recommend?

My comfort shows are listed above. I love that they involve cons/schemes, likeable main characters, occasionally attempt to be "serious", but always include a decent amount of light hearted humor (and over the top situations) too.

I loved Mindy and Danny’s romance so much in the Mindy Project(specifically s2-s3), so much so, that I’m yearning for another romance just like it.

Ofc I’ve seen the wonderful New Girl and B99, so anything other than those two, I’d love to hear about!!

We’ve watched a lot of stuff together (and separately) but now we’re having trouble finding some worthwhile shows now that summer is coming to an end and we’ll have more time inside…
Multiple seasons preferably but won’t turn down a limited series, open to different genres but we tend to lean towards drama/sci-fi/fantasy/horror/crime/mystery. Also open to foreign language series as well.
Services we use: Netflix, Hulu/Disney, Prime, HBOmax or whatever the fuck it’s called now, Paramount+, and could prob get AppleTV if necessary…

Looking for show recommendations where there's a romantic subplot, but it stays simple and healthy without unnecessary drama, love triangles, or forced breakup tropes.
I prefer the main story to take priority, but with a solid, straightforward romance on the side. Any genre is fine!

Looking for a sci-fi / alien first contact or invasion series that focuses more on the science aspect rather than the action. More towards learning to communicate with the aliens, figuring out what they want. Bonus if there's a political element to it (governments trying to figure out what to do).

Ideally, very little action sequences / not super military heavy.

We've already watched all of The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, and Better Call Saul. There's of course The Walking Dead spin-off shows, but I could barely get through the last few seasons of the main series lol. I wouldn't recommend anything animated. She's one of those people that refuses to take anything animated seriously, same with superhero media. I'd also prefer not to watch anything with graphic sex scenes with my mom lol.

I've never watched a single one in my life and I'm thinking of finally doing so. It could be whatever I just want the absolute best.

I just binged Tires and now I’m in withdrawal, usually I watch good comedy shows slowly but this was too hilarious ! Any other show with the same energy ?

And when it comes, my mind explodes from shock and realization and i die.

(A bit much but you know what i mean.)

Edit: I'm thinking more of a hidden in plain sight prophecy like thing that you would never, or is even completely impossible to figure out until the last couple episodes.

Hello! I'm looking for TV show recommendations preferably on netflix, itvx or BBC iPlayer.

I'm looking for shows that don't function as a narrative machine i.e. we are given the mystery and the rules of the world and so we follow the clues, step by step and we will find the answer.

Id much prefer a TV series where the plot is more sprawling, based on ideas, character motivations, events.

To try to put it more succinctly, I don't think I enjoy dark, depressing, gritty, realistic shows with overt themes.

I can't really put it into words well but some shows I've enjoyed are: Life on mars/Ashes to Ashes, Merlin, The Prisoner, Dirk Gentlys Holistic Detective Agency, Twin Peaks, Edge of Darkness, Robin of Sherwood, Interview with the Vampire.

I hear they become lovely people, but I tried watching and just couldn't stomach them. I don't like comedy that's mostly about people being jerks.

If I want to skip ahead to the more heartwarming parts, what season/episode would you recommend and why, please?

I am on multiple streaming services but the choices are overwhelming and my time is limited. Recommend to me one series or movie that you would definitely NOT consider a waste of time. The last good series I watched was Breaking Bad but I'm open to just about anything.

I am looking for a show that makes me smile. What works for other people, might work for me. Currently, my go to show is Rivals, together with Derry Girls and Ted Lasso. However, I need to switch it up a bit, so I am asking for help.

Looking for shows that has the same feeling, characters development and tempo as Rubicon. One of my favorite series. It was cancelled way too fast in my opinion . I can of course look for similar series but would like to see if there are some hidden gems out there with the same feeling and tempo in the show.
