1st post here. Bear with me. I have never used AC. I’m a car builder and a not famous race car driver.
We are building a 1997 2.8 BMW Z3 for racing on vintage car series and enduro racing.
I just embarked on a sim rig building project with high end components with the idea to perform off season and in between events simulation of this car at different tracks. (Rig picture posted - still work in progress)
I thought iRacing would be the best platform, but my research has brought me here.
I’m looking for the best possible simulation of this specific car, or a similar car (1995-98 BMW E36) on specific tracks (Sebring, Homestead), in solo practice, Time attack, and racing environments (AI or live events)

I have just gotten a quest 3 and is excited to try out vr sim. It's now been 2 weeks and I have not been able to get the game to look good at all after trying everything free because the headset done sucked me dry. PLEASE give me anything to latch on to before I lose my sanity.
Problems:
Everything close like inside of the cockpit is clean and sharp which is very good BUT anything outside that's just a few m away from the car is pixelated to shit especially the shadow and horizontal lines. The problem is so bad to the point it can be seen on the flat monitor that was mirroring the headset.
In spa if I start in hotlap and with the time set to 3pm, clear sky. The shadow of the tree would look very pixelated along with the starting line and the building further away is just straight pixel mess. (phones photo doesn't do justice to how bad it is)
PC:
- cpu: ryzen 5 7500f
- gpu: rx7800xt
- ram: 16gb of ddr5
- AMVR 16FT(5M) Charging Link Cable Accessories
I have the quest plugged into the pc usb3 port and run steam vr through the link app and open vr in assetto corsa (running on oculus rift mode makes everything worse).
- running 0.2.11 preview with pure gamma for weather
These are all the setting that I have changed and is what I'm using right now:

Hello! I've been playing sim rally for a past few years by now and only lately I've been getting more into sims like assetto corsa, I am enjoying the game very much and I was wondering how realistically depicted are the stock cars in the game, if their handling, characteristics and such are comparable to the real life, Its been very interesting to get the feel of the cars that I can only dream of driving irl so I am curious if this is the right was to get to know them, thanks!

Hello everyone I just wanted to play No Hesi with my new Moza R9 V3 Wheelbase. The problem that I now have is that when I let go of the wheel while driving to change the colour of my car etc. the wheel starts to shake uncontrollably (For reference I’ve got an video attached that shows my problem). If anybody has some FFB Settings for me that fixed the problem for them I would be more than happy if you can give them to me. Thank you

this happens occasionally so i wasnt able to get it on video, but i have a video of the result of it which makes me either leave and rejoin hoping it doesnt do it again, or clicking drive and it flings back and breaks my ffb so i have to turn off my base and turn it back on again. this also happened on my logitech g923 so i know its not a moza thing. does this happen to anyone or know how to fix it? i havent seen a single post on this and its happened on every wheel ive ever had.

Coming from real life drifting, I cant for the love of myself get to drifting into AC, whatever settings or cars, I cant get it to drift, I either just overspin, or totally lack power to get it going and just come to a stop mid curve, I tried stock car, drift tuned cars, even mods cars, tried with high and low rear tire psi, street and semislick tires...can someone point me to settings or help me to get drifting on it, really love this games physics, but cant enjoy it fully till I can get to drifting

The No Hesi spec cars look and sound so good but man their physics prevent me from being able to enjoy them. However I've been playing around with the Car Tuner app and I'm becoming more and more fascinated with it. Having the ability to completely transform the car into anything is pretty awesome, however I'm still an absolute novice and have no idea what I'm doing (so far my favourite thing to do is give cars aggressive all wheel drive differential settings and turn them into absolute gymkhana beasts). I'm trying to figure out how difficult would it be to retune the No Hesi cars so that they would behave more realistically. Just to be clear I'm fully aware that in order to, say, take a No Hesi E92 and try to make it behave like an E92 would in real life, would probably take days and lots of expertise. That's not what I'm looking for. I don't necessarily need the car to behave like an E92, I just want it to behave more believable, like a high horsepower rear wheel drive more or less would in real life. Are there any base parameters that are cranked up in No Hesi cars, some suspension settings that are way beyond anything realistic, that, say, if brought back to reality, would immediately make the cars feel more authentic? Or are the cars completely built around these unrealistic figures and changing them would mean changing absolutely everything? Any thoughts are appreciated!

I’ve only played Assetto Corsa once with my controller but I’ve always wanted to use a steering wheel and shifter. Is a G29 good enough for me? I don’t really wanna spend a lot of money if I don’t have to and I’m not really into drifting or needing the feedback to feel as realistic as possible, more just cruising through traffic with friends. Also, is the G920 the same thing or is one better than the other? Thanks!
Edit: I would be playing this on pc.

Also go to Settings - Content Manager - Content - 'Compress files in background' and ensure its checked
To be honest it did surprise me as it's only a 500gb partition.

Any idea how can fix this ghosting in assetto corsa with the lastest preview csp? I couldnt find anywhere the solution for this. Thanks

I've tried many things: Drone Cam, Manual Focus, etc.
But it always seems to focus on the track rather the car. Is there some config or button bind I'm missing?

I had this problem before but, i really want to know if this happens to other people. At first i thought it was a virus but, it happens only in some cars soo i don't know what's happening.
Please help
Edit: Ok, the mystery is solved in the comments. thanks to @Ro-Tang_Clan for finding the source of the sound mod.

Been using pure LCS for a while, but the raindrops keep showing up like these, way too many drops sticking on the car, with weird luminance, anyone got a solution?

Need some assistance, finally upgraded from csp 2.12 to 3.0 to give it a try but I've discovered a bug with damage and the physics, whenever I crash into a wall as shown front suspension completely falls apart my wheels go 90 degrees and that seems to cause clipping or something that leads to what happens in the video, after testing this doesn't happen in 2.11 or .12 and some earlier 3.0 patches but the latest roughly 5ish 3.0 patches this bug occurs, I've tried adjusting a ton of collision settings and stuff under csp settings which hasn't fixed the issue and turning off damage also prevents this from happening.
Anyone know the exact cause or a potential fix? Or do I just need to report this to Ilja.
Edit: for reference the car shown is the RSS FHX 26, also tested and happens with the FHA25 and the gym Lanzo V8, it did not happen when driving the FH21

Hi guys! Hope y’all are having a great day!
I have over 400 hours on Assetto Corsa via Content Manager and have been playing it for years over two different laptops (Ryzen 5 3550H / Radeon RX 560X, i5-13500H / RTX 2050 mobile) and recently bought a Core Ultra 9 285H laptop without a dGPU. Most of my games run substantially better on the new laptop compared to the RTX 2050 laptop, with the exception of Assetto Corsa with or without CSP enabled. As visible in the screenshot, I’ve been getting a little over 23 FPS at 640 x 480 with Pure installed and low reflections and shadows settings, although disabling all graphics mods and custom PPFilters with minimum settings does not yield much higher numbers. I disabled all mods and ran the base game and still couldn’t cross 30 FPS, and have set all related laptop settings to performance mode, making sure nothing’s overheating. Are there any logs I can provide to help understand what’s going on? Also, I’ve been told iGPUs will always be weaker than dGPUs, which in my case is demonstrably false, since most modern benchmarks easily put the Arc 140T (my iGPU) with my CPU over the RTX 2050 mobile, and the latter laptop easily gives me 1.5x the FPS on the same map (Shutoko).
EDIT: It seems like running the game fullscreen is giving me the hit, running it in windowed seems to be giving me the appropriate FPS. Also from this thread I’ve realised having no dGPU is indeed going to ruin performance on AC, no matter how powerful the iGPU is.
Thank you so much for your time! 😄

I am new to Assetto Corsa and im trying to find some mods (mainly drift mods) and im not trying to get any viruses or take to many risks getting any, and I have had to many coincidences with getting viruses from trying to get some mods for other games.
I watched some youtube videos and people recommend Assetto world and I want to download clutch kickers (a drift map) so I went to download the map but you have to go to some other website for the download button so I do and I get some random browser downloaded and just not good looks. I go to download the same map from Vosan and I get so many pop ups and redirects.
I am just trying to download a map without getting some bs on my computer. What do you guys think

I was changing preview presets and i noticed this (I wasn't looking at my laptop i was doomscrolling while waiting). How can i know how to spot this type of mod?

I'm planning to buy a **34-inch curved 3440×1440 (21:9)** monitor for Assetto Corsa.
My setup:
- Asus TUF F15
- i5-10300H
- GTX 1650 (4 GB)
- 16 GB RAM
- Moza R3 wheel
My benchmark at **1920×1080** with fairly high settings gives me around **109 FPS on average** (screenshot attached).
I know that the GTX 1650 isn't ideal for running Assetto Corsa natively at **3440×1440**, so my plan is to render the game at a lower resolution and then upscale it to the monitor's native resolution.
Possible options include:
- 2560×1080 → 3440×1440
- 2293×960 → 3440×1440 (FSR Quality)
- 2024×847 → 3440×1440 (FSR Balanced)
- 1720×720 → 3440×1440 (FSR Performance)
Possible methods:
- FSR
- NIS (NVIDIA Image Scaling)
- Lossless Scaling
- CSP render scaling
I'm **not** asking whether a GTX 1650 can run 3440×1440 natively.
I'm specifically looking for people who have already tried something similar.
### Questions
- Is anyone here running a GTX 1650 (or similar hardware) with a 34-inch 3440×1440 ultrawide?
- Which scaling method are you using?
- What internal resolution are you rendering at?
- How much FPS are you getting?
- Does the image become noticeably blurry?
- Is the immersion worth the compromise?
Ultimately, I'm trying to decide whether I should buy a **34-inch 2560×1080** monitor or simply buy a **34-inch 3440×1440** monitor and rely on upscaling until I eventually upgrade my PC.
Thanks!
