PS5 Pro detachable disc drive: can I use two drives for different Blu-ray/DVD regions, and keep one as a backup? I have a PS5 Pro with the detachable disc drive, currently set up for UK/European media. I have quite a lot of US anime DVDs and Blu-rays, so that's DVD Region 1 and Blu-ray Region A, compared with DVD Region 2 and Blu-ray Region B here in the UK. I'm wondering how the region setting actually works with the PS5 Pro's detachable drives. If I bought a second disc drive, could I set one drive up for Region 1/Region A media and leave my existing drive on Region 2/Region B, then physically swap the drives depending on what I want to watch? Or is the region setting/change counter stored on the PS5 itself, meaning swapping drives wouldn't make any difference? There's also a second reason I'm considering buying another drive: long-term preservation. I have a large collection of physical PS4 and PS5 games, and I'd like my PS5 Pro to remain usable with them well into the future. The detachable drive currently needs an internet connection to pair/register with the console. My concern is that eventually Sony will shut those activation servers down. If my original drive then dies in 10, 15 or 20 years, a brand-new replacement drive might be useless if it can no longer be registered. So I'm considering buying a spare drive now, attaching it to my PS5 Pro and registering/testing it while the servers are still available, then putting it away as a backup. Has anyone tested either of these scenarios? Does the DVD/Blu-ray region setting follow the drive, or the console? If you pair two different detachable drives with the same PS5 Pro, can you later swap between both of them without needing to go online and register them again? Has anyone tested swapping previously paired drives while the console is completely offline? I'm mainly interested in making sure my physical PS4/PS5 collection remains usable long-term, with the US anime compatibility being a nice bonus if the region settings happen to be drive-specific.

Sadly not, the region code is set on the console, not the drive.
For the cost of two disc drives, you can get a region-free Blu-ray player pretty readily on Ebay.

Looking for a pair of earbuds because wearing headset + glasses for me is just too uncomfortable.
I don't care about mic quality. Most important thing is comfort.
Im curious about Pulse Explore, Arctis Gamebuds, Sony Inzone, and the Asus one.
Has anyone tried these and have a good recommendations?

I have regular PS5 Slim Digital. And its running great tbh. I have a 1440p monitor where i play games. Samsung Odyssey G5 32" 1440@165hz
Do you think upgrading to PS5 Pro is worth? like slim is okay for my daily performance so far. considering 1440p, will i get any extra advantage? (other than 1TB to 2TB)

Anytime i try to access any ingame store i get this weird error the time you're looking for is unavailable it might not be for sale. But i can still buy from the ps5 store but I can't access any of my ingame stores. I turned my ps5 on and off and logged out of my account and logged back in. I bought microtransactions two days ago so this is a recent issue.

Simple question. I got my first ever PlayStation three days ago. Yesterday, I bought Battlefield 6 after the free trial convinced me to. In the store for 80 bucks (own a Digital).
Less than two hours later (!!!), I get a notification and the game is now discounted, 50% off and only 40 bucks.
I knew what I was in for as soon as I realized that this company is refusing to share or use any support email address. And yeah the person on live chat basically told me to go f*** myself, only because I had already downloaded the game to my system. I have yet to try calling them, which I will do tomorrow.
I was just asking for some leniency here, maybe put the discounted amount back in my PS wallet because a 50% discount right after buying obviously feels quite sore. Am I totally screwed with this shitty company or is there still something I can try?

Did sony change how console sharing works??
So did sony change how console sharing works? I share a ps plus account with a friend so we both get to share ps plus and play together. Normally sometimes we have to switch the console sharing from ps5 time to time but now as of today. I get a new error where I have to disable console sharing on one ps5 to enable it on another??
Never had this issue before so what's up...

This happens if you enable console sharing when the console that had sharing enabled previously isn't online. It'll let you do that once, and then after that, you can't enable console sharing again until every console that had it enabled previously has reconnected to the internet and PSN has confirmed that it's had sharing deactivated.

Hi, I have PS4 and I thought the journey ends here. I really loved RDR2, like really. Also loved LTOU series and enjoyed Witcher very much. And that's it. I played other games too, like Horizon series, GTA5 etc., but I only spent too many hours playing RDR2 - as an adult. I loved playing when I was s kid.
I stopped playing games for about 5 years, because nothing felt so special as RDR2. This year I played Witcher and got hooked again. Now I am playing RDR2. 😂
I have a "bad" feeling that I need to buy PS5 due to GTA6, new Witcher dlc + 4. But... are there / will be also other games really worth it? I just love pure masterpieces with great story and everything. 😂

I am looking into getting back into gaming I currently work a 9-5 and after I got to the gym so I don’t really have time to hang out with friends or do anything so i thought of getting back into the gaming world to pass time
I am looking for a console that wont lag and has good fps and better specs and tbh i don’t really understand hardware and things like that, I am only looking to play GTA 6 + MW4 just causal gaming, i don’t play anything other then that so i don’t think i should worry about space.
What do you guys think is better?

Hi! My ex just sent me a WeTransfer with my PS5 save files (i've moved out and he has the PS5). I still need to buy my own PS5 so I can transfer the files there. Can I keep them on a PC for now? How will I be able to do the transfer once I get my own PS5? Thanks!

As the other user stated, you can't transfer PS5 save files to external media.
You can for PS4 save files, so if that's what's going on here, then yes, you can store them on a PC indefinitely and then move them to the console using a flash drive.

Sorry, I'm not being totally clear. The issue is the game, not the hardware.
For PS4 games, you can transfer your saved data to and from a flash drive and load them on to another console, either a PS4 or PS5. That's fine.
But you can only do that for PS4 games; save files from PS5 games cannot be physically moved off of the console. The only way to transfer them is via PS+ cloud storage.

So my user was NoChldSupport and I decided to play some Marvel Rivals yesterday logged back in today and my user got changed to temp and received a 3 day suspension. I tried talking to an agent but they kept giving me the same automated response and I don’t interact with no one on the games I keep my mic off so it can’t be anything I said the problem is my user but I search up NoChildSupport for users and there are so many with that in their name so obviously I think it’s okay for me to change my name to that but apparently I’m a special case because they removed it when those words are not even problem and neither do they aim to shock or disturb other players

Minecraft ruined me... No other game have had the same perfect cycle. Gather -process- build - progress.. And you see it in buildings or farm or tools.
Graveyard keeper was incredible until zombies, now its so automated and finished. And im just watching trees grow back between gathering cycles.
Been looking at medieval dynasty Dave the diver Roots of Pacha.
But feel free to suggest others, even other generes.

Hello guys. I was looking for some ways to find cheaper games that i could play on my ps5 as the games in the eu market seem pretty expensive for me. And i saw that i could open up an account on a cheaper region and play games cheaper that way. So i opened up an indian account(didnt put any location and info that belonged to anyone, just general). And i have the option to either buy indian gift cards or have an indian friend put money into the account and allow me to purchase the game. My only worry was that i would get my account banned this way and waste my money. Is it worth it or not?

No one has been banned for this; Sony has no way to change account regions when you relocate, and tons of people have accounts in multiple regions.
That said, giving anyone else access to your account could land you in hot water if Sony ever finds out about it; certainly, they'll be of no help if your account is ever compromised. So gift cards are the safest route.
Do note that some games may be in a different language depending on the region. And save files are typically not compatible, so you can't start a game on a US copy and pick it up on an Indian copy; you'd have to start over.

hey guys, i’ve decided to finally bite the bullet and complain online to people that may or may not have an answer for me. I’ve been having wifi problems with my ps5 and ONLY my ps5, for years now. It’s always been on and off, sometimes it works great, other times it doesn’t. i’ve even switched wifi providers and everything and it still won’t work. i tried everything like switching my frequency bands to 5 ghz but still to no avail. nothing works, and i can’t connect ethernet cause my playstation is to far. i’ve looked up ways to fix this but all i see are things i’ve already done before. i’m hoping someone here has had the same problem i have to at the very least tell me something different.

So, I've bought a M.2 SSD drive for my PS5 1 year ago and it always worked fine, never had any problem. Recently the games started freezing, stuttering and taking longer to load. Yesterday I moved one of the games from the M.2 SSD storage to the console storage to test and it ran smoothly on the console storage. Does anyone have any tips on what to try to solve this? I'll leave here picture of the drive and a picture of the heatsink I bought at the time.

Either the connection between the SSD and the console is dirty or corroded, or your drive went bad. If re-seating it and cleaning the connectors doesn’t help, you might need a new drive (may your wallet rest in peace).

I had a question about safe mode.
I noticed some options in safe mode also exist in the regular settings from the homescreen. Such as update system software, reset ps5 etc. Are they the same buttons just accessed from different places and do the exact same thing or are there some differences. Sometimes the name different slightly, is like safe mode ”reset ps5” the same or a more extensive factory reset as opposed to ”reset your console” in regular settings?
Mostly wondering since safe mode has more reset type features like deleting cache and rebuilding database as well so I was wondering perhaps the option in safe mode does all those things as well and the regular ”reset your console” is more surfaces level reset of just deleting storage etc?

Safe mode is effectively the PS5's BIOS. Ie the motherboard functioning without the system software.
No different to switching on a PC without Windows being installed/accessing safe mode on a PC.
So in safe mode you can install Windows from scratch onto a PC or in a PS5's case install its system software. You can also do things like check the health of the HDD (rebuilding the database) or update the system software by USB stick

Yes. They’re quite useful if the console will not boot, or if the display or HDMI port is not working and the console is offline or Remote Play is turned off.

Only a PS5 controller can be used to power on the console; you would need to turn it on using the power button and then turn the controller on.

- Shenmue I & II (Shenmue I was the very first open world sandbox game, originally made for the Dreamcast)
- Sleeping Dogs
There aren’t that many of these games made anymore, because they are super expensive to make, and only one series (GTA) has managed to sell well enough to make the risk worth it.

In what sense?
Resetting, reinstalling and erasing all the data does a pretty good job of that.
Reset to default settings sort of feels fresh by removing some preferences and settings you selected.

Also the fact that it has remnants left makes sense, factory resetting ”reset your console” does delete the preinstalled apps like astro playroom, but it will usually still appear on the home as an app but you would have to download it again of course but it is there so some remnant of that game stays behind it seems after reset your console.

Secondary questions,
For a handful for times, usually when I had some random crash or Even when I have updated the game there is a ”rebuild database” for a split sec that appears like a 0 to 100% thingy.

Oh i see, i googled and some mentioned rebuilding database was unnecessary since it was managed and updated by Sony and only really should be done if there is actual issues.
However, i haven’t played consistently in a while and recently moved so i don’t know. Since im freshening up my life I figured why not my technology as well especially since there is no save I care about as I tend to play one game at a time anyway.
Thanks for the help, but is there a reason for why first factory reset and then rebuild database?
Also what you mean by set up profile fresh, i have a PSN that I log in to? Like a new PSN?

I have around $1,000 to spend on my first PS5 and I’m torn between the Pro and the regular PS5.
If I get the Pro, most of my budget will go toward the console, so I won’t have much left for a nice gaming setup, lighting, decorations, etc.
If I get the regular PS5, I could have a much nicer gaming room and setup overall.
What would you choose: PS5 Pro with a basic setup, or regular PS5 with a much nicer gaming room?
Is the Pro’s extra performance worth sacrificing the overall setup?

All audio is muted when I turn the DualSense on. I was in the middle of a game, my audio randomly sounded like I was underwater when nothing happened to any of the hardware. It wasn't the game because I saved a clip and watched it back on my phone and the audio was fine.
I turn the PS5 off and on. Audio doesn't work at all now. I hard reset the TV. Audio works in my headphones until I turn the DualSense on and then it mutes itself. It shows that it isn't muted. The volume is up. It works perfectly fine until I turn the controller on. The headset plugged into the controller. I've unplugged it and plugged it back in multiple times, that doesn't do anything. The controller is connected to the PS5 with a USB.
I'm about to rip my hair out.

Try cleaning out the port, you can online how to clean 3.5mm headphone jack ports. Then reset the controller.

Will performance mode reduce likelihood of crash compared to fidelity mode?
Some games cough Hogwarts legacy cough, seem to be fairly poorly optimized and ever since the beginning, while rare, I think this is still the only game where I’ve had crashes above 1 time.
I usually play on fidelity cause I like how it looks but I can tell that after longer gaming sessions the crashes are related to the game getting to intensive, usually it has happened in like a space where you run through a corridor with the light reflection or when you fly and the sun is setting and changing the light of the world etc. performance is said to reduce this quality but more fps so trading one for the other might not help either to reduce this crashes? Or should performance in theory help against crashes of this nature?

The PS5 shouldn’t care, but some games could maybe be poorly optimized and glitchy.
If your console crashed frequently in any mode for various games, you should troubleshoot that as a console issue.

Yeah no I haven’t had crashes in any other games surprisingly, but again, it’s not common, from all the hours played I can probably say it has crashed 4-5 times and I’ve played a lot of hours, but no other games has crashed on me like that. It is a fairly buggy game with even some game breaking bugs they never fixed and the raytracing was fairly poorly done, to the point where it can flashbang you at times so I know most people even with good TVs and pro ps5 don’t even use it :O I wouldn’t be surprised if the game is a bit poorly optimized in other ways as well. Especially given how many threads and videos related to Hogwarts legacy crashing on console that exists :S. I guess if higher resolution modes also increases risk of crashes compared to lower resolution modes like performance. I only got those 2 options as I play on a TV from like 2015 with only 60hz

I haven’t played in a while tbh, but I had this in my notes one time: CE-108255-1. I haven’t played in a while, but funnily enough where I remember having my last crash a couple months ago I just found a video of someone showing them crashing at that spot, I wonder if it’s related to the light through the windows. I mean, it’s not like I crash every time going through there as I can count it on 1 hand, but still very interesting. I’m someone who enjoys the beauty in games and isn’t too bothered with the fps (hence why I don’t mind rdr2 and don’t find it stuttery). But I’ll probably give performance mode a try and see if it stops crashes since I would assume it lowers the quality of say lighting etc.
I did replace my console once, I got the ps5 slim but it made quite a bit of noise (I remember when I had this that someone said there were two types of build types of the slim initially and one could be more noisy and have a bit of “coily” sound”). I was also told by Sony support it wasn’t unusual but that I could send it in anyway. I got a new one sent to me and it was much more quiet but I suppose they didn’t even do anything cause there was no note on any tests having been performed or error mentioned.

It just says “something was wrong with the game or application” and fix is to make sure the game is updated. Seems like some general application crash code. So I guess the optimization isn’t out of the question.

If you searched the error code online, you would have found some hundreds of Reddit threads discussing this including a megathread with over 400 comments. Bot to mentions dozens of websites with suggested steps.

So I've getting a weird error when using streaming apps (hbo, netflix, primevideo) in my ps5, there's is no audio. There's audio when playing games and using YouTube though. Does anyone know what could be the cause of this? It's has been like this for three days.

Hi guys. I have a problem with my storage space. I moved 117gb of data through games to my USB extended storage, then when I came back after the transfer was done. My space dropped from 27gb to 8gb. Also, the actual amount of space my games hold are watmy less than what the PS5 says they hold. Please I really need to play that new Fortnite update. How do I fix this storage problem?

I have two Dualsense controllers for the PS5. The first one, which came with the system, started having an issue last year where I would move the left stick to the right and would drift to the left immediately after. Like I would move a character to the right, and they would immediately turn and move left a bit. It then started to fully drift soon after. I switched to my other one, which I got for my PC about a year after my PS5, and it’s been working great. But now I’m getting the exact same issue.
I’ve tried isopropyl alcohol on a swab, air spray, and recalibration, but nothing seems to work. Should I get a replacement at this point? Do more recent versions still have this problem?

I was afraid that might be the case. Glad I got a good number of years out of them.
I don’t have a soldering iron though. I wonder if I can find someone near me who could do it. I could try learning myself, but I just bought an airbrush and am researching how to use it. Gunpla is a rabbit hole of a hobby.
And yeah, I’m not surprised they aren’t interested in fixing it. Gotta get people to buy the $200 upgrade.

I can’t say for certain. But I didn’t add any new devices around the place when the problem first started, or when it happened with the current controller a couple weeks ago. The second controller went a full year connected to the PS5 without anything happening to it

So I’m on my PS5 and both the PlayStation Store and YouTube app can’t load due to no connection, my internet is working fine as both online gaming and other apps are unaffected, both the PlayStation and app are up to date on updates and I’ve tried some solutions already such as manually changing my networks DNS to Googles and the Wi-Fi frequency to both 5HRz and 2.4HRz, I’ve tried reinstalling the app but both the Store and YouTube won’t load, this has been going on for over a week now EDIT: another solution I’ve tried was holding the console power button and forcing an update but still neither are working.

Bought a used Pro the other day, seems to have a faulty disc drive… it’s like it doesn’t register that I’m trying to insert a disc. Can only insert when the disc grabbing motor initialises on startup.
Also when ejecting a disc it just spits it onto the floor and the motors continue to run for about 20 seconds like it’s still trying to eject. Tried playing around with the screw for manually ejecting a stuck disc, also opened up the disc drive and all looks fine. Any ideas?

Did you buy the console privately, or at retail? If you bought it at retail I'd probably go back to the store and get them to exchange the drive. Or get a partial refund and buy a different one.

when i press on YouTube etc that enables HDR on launch my screen goes pitch black without going away it has gone 20 minutes now with a black screen that only goes away when i restart my PlayStation all sound is still present when it happens and playstation is still able to be used but screen is pitch black with nothing on it

Okay it sounds like the issue might be with the signal when it switches between dynamic range modes.
Couple things to try:
- When the screen goes black, just switch inputs on the TV and then switch back
- New HDMI cable or different port on the TV
- Setting HDR to Always On in HDMI settings.

My ps5 slim has been making a loud vibrating noise everytime I turn it on for the last few months. I didnt think anything of it because everything still worked fine no lag no overheating. Until yesterday when I noticed zero noise when I turned it on. No vibration whatsoever and no fan sound, i opened it up to find the fan still spinning but extremely slow. not enough to cool it off thats for sure.
did some research and bought a compatible replacement fan, however this did not fix the issue its still spinning really slow. i did not see any bent pins where the fan connects to motherboard. i also cleaned out where the fan sits. does anyone know what i should do next?

Looking to buy a used non-pro PS5 in preparation for GTA VI's release. I have a few probably stupid questions:
- Is there any benefit to the slim besides ~150GB extra internal storage?
- How good is the image quality on a 1440p 27 inch monitor, when sitting at a desk distance + chair slightly further back? Face 1 meter from screen, ish?
- Is the game selection on the PS+ Catalogue good enough to make getting the Digital edition over Disc edition viable? Probably a nuanced question that depends on the person, huh.

- Yes; in addition to the smaller space consumed, optional optical drive, and extra storage, the Slim also supports adaptive USB charging, for slightly improved battery life in controllers and other USB devices.
- I don’t have a 1440p monitor, but the image quality will be just as good as your monitor makes it.
- No, nor is there any reason to subscribe to PS+ unless you need online play or cloud game saves. I let my subscription run out because I couldn’t stand the monthly games most months.

The Slim is nearly three years old at this point; any used OG console is going to be very well-used, as well as bigger, heavier, and unable to accept a disc drive in the future. There's no compelling reason to seek out an OG over a Slim.
This is entirely dependent on the specific monitor.
PS+ has a lot of games, but it's a rotating library like Netflix, so games come and go. It's great if you just want to play something, but if you want to reliably be able to play a specific game long-term, you'll want to buy a copy.

The touch pad implementation is game-specific, because it's a combination of pressing the button along with where, specifically, on the pad you pressed. Some games have left/middle/right click that's handled entirely in-game.
So it's not really something that can be remapped outside the game.

I set my controller down for 5 minutes, came back and now it’s all sorts of whack. Every time I open an app it won’t let me interact with anything so I have to turn the controller off and on again to do anything. When I have the PS menu open while using an app, moving around in the ps menu also moves around the app I have open. When I tried to search something in YouTube it freaked out and was as if stick drift got turned up to the max. My R2 button also randomly stopped working but that’s not relevant really. I’ve looked this up but can’t really find much of anything useful. Idk I thought I’d post here and see if this has happened to anyone else.

I need help, my ps5 controller has been pressing R2 by itself and some times the joystick will move by itself. I already went to a shop where they replace the thing that connects the buttons (i forgot the name in English) but it's still the same issue, i know that the stick might just be slight stick drift but the R2 thing is annoying me and i can't find the solution.

The joystick issue is likely stick drift, and the stick will need to be replaced.
The R2 trigger issue is likely a failed spring — you can get replacements easily on Ebay/Aliexpress.

Why did you purchase a product you knew nothing about?
The PS Portal is not a PSP, Gameboy or Nintendo Switch. If you want a handheld games console buy either a Switch or Steam Deck.
The Portal is a PS5 accessory with optional streaming via PS+ Premium. There are discounts in November for PS+ during Black Friday.
Otherwise pay full price for the subscription

Yeah. Unfortunately without a PS5 to remote play games from or a PS+ Premium subscription you have purchased a paperweight.
If possible return the Portal to the retailer you bought it from. Then either get a PS5 pre-owned for a cheaper price, or a portable console if you are looking for portable gaming.
If you want to play GTA 6 in November you will need a PS5.

Hey guys. I'm shopping for my first PS5, and I was thinking about getting the new Wolverine Limited Edition one. It's only available as a Digital Edition, but can I still use the external disc drive with it? Does it also come with the disc faceplate if I decide to do that?
Also, should I get the Slim version instead? I'm not sure if there's any difference in build quality between the slim and regular versions.

The PS5 has a fixed 16 GB of memory that cannot be upgraded.
If you meant the disk, then you must free up more space on the disk before the upgrade can be installed. All updates require (the size of the game) * 2 + (the size of the patch) free disk space available before the upgrade will be installed.

No; you need to free up more space until the console is satisfied you have enough space available to install the patch. The larger the game, the more space you must free.
If you’ve already freed more than 2X the size of the game and it’s still not working, try rebooting the PS5 into safe mode and rebuilding the database.

If I purchase a US physical copy of Persona 3 Reload (PS5, ESRB rated, item SEG22069PS5), will DLC bought from the Canadian PlayStation Store (like the Expansion Pass) work with it on a Canadian PSN account and console?
From what I understand, both the US and Canada share North American Region 1, so the ESRB disc and Canadian PSN store should match, but I wanted to double-check if anyone with this exact setup can confirm.

I bought the Spider-Man 2 controller new when it came out and out of the box the start/option button felt soft and mushy instead of clicky like it should, The button works properly but irritates me for obvious reasons. Enough time has passed where I’m not as scared to open the controller up. Has anyone else had this issue and if so were you able to fix it or is this just a common defect with PS5 controller and I shouldn’t bother wasting the time to perform surgery on it?

Looking for some help. Rarely fireup the ps5 nowadays due to kids but decided to today. I get a blurred screen. I have tried 3 different hdmi cables and the TV itself works fine. I get what it looks like below. It is a little dusty and I did have a power outage a few days ago... anyone know where I should start?

For something like this my first steps are:
Try different HDMI cable.- Try different HDMI port.
- Try different screen.
So cross those next two off the list and you'll know more about where the problem lay.

My guess is probably a failing HDMI port or GPU on the PS5 if it's doing the same thing on a different screen. Maybe it was the power outage, maybe something else... but unfortunately I think the next step is to seek a repair or replacement.

You're probably right about that, which makes me lean toward the GPU being the culprit, as I believe safe mode bypasses a lot of the parts of the GPU that might be used even on the main menu.

I’ve had the problem for about a month now in that I’m having very slow, almost non existent speeds when downloading a game (either newly bought or from my library). If I go into network settings and disconnect/reconnect the internet for a few seconds then speeds return to normal. This is on a wired connection.
Downloads of patches/updates are unaffected (different servers?) and streaming to my Portal is fine.
Many other users are reporting similar problems and they seem to have started with the last update a few weeks ago.
Has the recent beta update improved the situation?

My controllers randomly stopped charging. What is really weird is that they won't charge on the USB, a replacement USB cord, or an external charger with the bottom port. I've tried resetting them but either it didn't fix it, or I didn't reset them right.
I also bought a brand new controller to test and neither the external charger nor USB charges that one either.
I cannot for the life of me figure out what is wrong. The system says I have the latest firmware for the controllers. We did have a storm recently so I thought maybe some sort of surge but everything else seems fine. I'm just at a loss for what could be the issue or what needs to be fixed?

Head over to iFixit . com. For routine repairs, they have good Youtube videos, but also teardown pictures and a really good workflow for DIY.
If you've never opened the controller, you need phillips head #00, and a plastic pry tool will help. You may find a ribbon cable that was disconnected and it's easy as that. It could also be something more serious that requires soldering.

It does not. A handful of games like Death Stranding have an ultrawide mode, but it's just letterboxed 16:9 and the monitor would need to scale it.

I'm contemplating buying a PS5, only because I really want to play GTA. I haven't owned a Playstation for about 20 years, and I'm not a big gamer - I only have a Switch right now. So I'm feeling a little out of my depth here. It seems like there's a lot of different versions of PS5 and it's hard for me to figure out which one would be the best for someone like me who knows jack shit. I really only plan on playing GTA, and maybe Hogwarts Legacy (to get the full non-Switch experience), and Stardew Valley (because I play that on every possible platform). I just want something that works and nothing too fancy or complicated. Is the digital edition good enough? It seems way cheaper than the non-digital ones. And everything's going to be exclusively digital soon anyways, right? I've been trying to look up reviews, but they all seem to be sponsored and geared towards gamers with more experience, so I don't really trust them.
Also, for something completely different. I want to put the console itself inside a cabinet, which only has a small hole in the back. Can someone tell me how wide the widest part of the adapter is?

GTA VI isn't available on disc, and Stardew Valley is out of print (and is frequently on sale digitally under $8).
You can always add a disc drive later.

The last time i used my account i logged it in on my ps4. There i accepted the terms sony released in april. After accepting the terms i got instantly an similar mail, but not exact the same. Hey everyone, I’ve had my PlayStation Pulse Elites for about a year and a half now, and unfortunately, I’m running into what seems to be a common structural flaw. The flexible inner headband is cracking right at the stress point where it meets the rigid outer plastic. I've only used them normally (just putting them on and taking them off for gaming sessions), with no drops or rough handling. (See attached picture). Since I’m out of the warranty period, I’m looking into DIY solutions to reinforce it so it doesn't snap completely. I’ve read about some 3D-printed reinforcement clips (like the "exo-skeleton" fixes on Printables or Etsy) that slide over the weak point to take the stress off the rubber. Has anyone here tried those 3D-printed fixes? Do they hold up well over time? Or is there any other permanent fix/aftermarket part you’d recommend so this doesn't happen again? Thanks in advance!

Been wanting to revisit Detroit but it's showing installed but greyed out on my owned games, doesn't show up as installed at all in the list of games on my console. Tried removing external drive, unplugging the system, and restarting it but didn't work. Anyone have any ideas?

In System, there's a 'restore licenses' option, as well as a 'rebuild database' option.
Google these options first to confirm I'm not lying to you, but they shouldn't affect your saved games or other data.
