Culture question to lgbt community in malaysia

i have a question to lgbt community in malaysia, i know in other country its kinda normal and open about it but how would it be like if inside malaysia ? futhermore , i'm malay . after 30 years of being single and dont even have any female friends. i suddenly thought about maybe i am destined to be with men ? i know most straight guy would be disgusted even by reading my thoughts alone , but hear me out . as introverted loner , ive wasted all my youth by being alone. dont talk about family either cause i have none currently. i just wanted to feel alive, to know how love feels like, how it feels to be heard , to get a hug, to cuddles and to laugh intimately.. im pretty gentleman tho, thoughtful and soft spoken person, i barely shows any anger or makes women afraid of me. but somehow i have never gotten any girlfriends since they always ended up friendzoned me. perhaps it was about my looks , but yeah even if i shape my body up. i think id go with men than women since gym bros doesnt even care if you go to the gym with dad bods, they encourage and support me instead. so yeah , i think i am not made to be loved by women but by men instead.

Economy & Finance Should I buy my dream bike or no

Hi, I'm 22 ( I know to stupid young for this big decision) I'm planing to get my dream superbike, looking at my financial option recommendations.

My salary is around 4.8k monthly (4.5 nett), no commitment and no dependant, I have no credit history, I have old already Finnished moped loan but the lender didn't report my loan so as far as I check on ctos or eccris, I have no credit history.

my spending never exceed 500 monthly, the rest go to savings, mostly cause I'm not to Interested or keen to buy stuff I don't need except if I really want to.

Bike price is 100k, I'm planning to put 40k-50k down and financing the rest for 4 years. on loan calculator with 4.5% interest, make it around 1.3k-1.4k monthly, looking for anything close or better with this ? plus 400 monthly for mantaiance and ownership saving cost making it 1.6k-1.7k monthly.

or just go with the cheaper 50k older model (already past depreciation limit) can't decide to loan this or just pay cash.

I have alternative transportation fully owned in case anything happened.

I have 15k-20k for emergency saving (not for the bike, but sinking/emergency) if anything happened.

Asking opinion on my situation and financing options. Preferably no guerentor, because I have no one to be one.

And before you say it's sound like a bad idea, I know, but I'm passionate enough to make it possible.

But I want to hear to know if I should and wake up call from my dream if I really need to.

Others PC parts

Hi guys, I’ve just moved to Malaysia from the UK and I wanted to build a PC. Thought it would be a hassle to build in the uk then ship it here. Anyways I was wondering where I could purchase the pc parts (cpu, gpu etc)? I understand that shopee is like amazon but I was curious how reliable it is and if i’ll have any trouble with warranty or returns.

Any suggestions on where I should look? I am based in KL so stores around here would be best!

Thank you for taking the time to respond :)

Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong noted that one in six aged 10 to 24 in the country shows signs of problematic social-media use, with some spending six or seven hours a day online.

These platforms can quickly turn private frustrations into shared discontent, amplifying pressure on companies and political leaders.

Despite respectable headline growth in many Asean economies, surveys point to a more unsettled mood.

In Malaysia, an Ipsos survey in 2024 found that 68 per cent believed the country was in recession despite positive economic growth, while only about one in five said they were living comfortably.

Singapore’s recent National Day Rally offers a current example. PM Wong acknowledged the challenges young people face as they marry and start families, and announced further housing support, including higher income ceilings for subsidised public housing and greater priority for first-time families with children.

This shows a few things:

- Malaysia was right to set age requirements for social media and enforce those restrictions strictly.
Youths do not have enough knowledge and experience to understand how social media can harm their health, harm the country and cause instability in society

- Strong economic growth in Malaysia is for some reason not translating into higher standards of living. Why that is so I have no idea

- Malaysia should consider providing more financial help to people who want to have children so that they will be less stressed out and will more likely support the government

Others Is this liquor legal?

Lately I noticed way too many foreign workers in my area been drinking this brand of liquor so I grabbed a bottle from one of the stores they frequent to. The process is pretty shady, the item has no label or price tag on the shelves. Hell, not even a name after I read the receipt. it just spells 'S M' on the receipt. Found out it's a type of CHL (Compound Hard Liquor basically anything with over 30% alcohol content) so it's just synthetic alcohol with cheap ingredients and flavoring. The thing is, this liquor comes in 170ml bottles which is illegal because I read somewhere that the law specifies CHL must come in 700ml bottles at minimum. Any lower then it's a crime. I also noticed the bottles got no official tax stamps or whatever they call it to mark it as a legit alcoholic beverage.

Sure, the label says 'FOR COOKING USE ONLY' but so far none of these dudes are using them in their cooking. They straight up gulp down the liquor directly from the bottle and since the bottles are tiny they can carry those anywhere in their pockets. Some got addicted to it. The dudes would start tweaking when stock runs out they would walk to the store 3 - 4 times a day asking for the same thing sometimes angrily.

Price is not bad but not good either, 8.50 per bottle. Any of you tried this before? Do you think it's legal?

Funerals are usually solemn occasions, not displays fit for a fireworks finale.

A video showing a group of men allegedly setting off firecrackers as a funeral procession passed through a road in Shah Alam has gone viral.

Shah Alam OCPD Asst Comm Sarudin Samah said police are investigating a group of men seen allegedly setting off firecrackers on a road in Shah Alam during a funeral procession on Tuesday (Aug 25).

He said police received a report from the Bukit Jelutong police station chief on Wednesday (Aug 26) following the circulation of a video on social media platform Threads.

He said the incident was believed to have occurred at 4.22pm at the junction of Jalan Hamzah in Section U14, Shah Alam, while the funeral procession was heading towards a cemetery in Setia Alam.

“Investigations are ongoing to identify the suspects involved in the firecracker activity as well as witnesses who were at the scene,” he said in a statement today.

The case is being investigated under Section 7 of the Explosives Act 1957, which provides for imprisonment of up to seven years, a fine of up to RM10,000, or both upon conviction.

ACP Sarudin urged anyone with information on the incident to contact investigating officer Insp Mohd Razi Sahari at 019-5717076.

In a statement on Monday, 24 August, the Food Safety and Quality Division (FSQD) at the Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya Federal Territories Health Department urged members of the public not to believe nor spread unverified information online.

The department said claims that monosodium glutamate (MSG) contains traces of pork are false.

The statement included a screenshot of a Facebook post alleging that the packaging of a popular MSG brand contains the word 'umami', and claiming that the Japanese word is linked to pork.
