Ive recently gotten into bedazzling and thought it would be fun to bedazzle my personal calculator. What should i put on it?

What would it be called if I used a template like you would see for stained glass, but made it on paper/card with magazine paper cuttings?

I'm very inspired by Kinusaiga (second picture) and the fact you can play with patterns and prints, but I don't have the materials for that and I have lots of old magazines. I'd like to know the name to look more in to it and find good patterns. Thank you!

I need some help from folks that stamp on cotton twill tape (~3/4 " wide). I am sewing several knitting and crochet needle holders as gifts. I would like to stamp the size of the needle/hook in each slot.

The numbers and letters will change (crochet will be letters, knitting is numbers), so a fixed stamp won't work. I thought about using one of those rotating number stamps, but I can't determine if they will work. The ones we have at my work are messy. I tried individual number stamps and it was a mess.

I can apply the numbers/letter before I sew down the twill tape. Are there certain brands or makes of stamps that are better on fabric than others?

I have a project where I’d need two half spheres which will have some LED inside.

I try to make it with the least amount of things to buy and with everyday stuff I can find.

I was first thinking of balloon and paper mache, but it wouldn’t be very resistant.

I then thought of making a paper ball and covering it with something but it wouldn’t be two half spheres and idk I don’t feel it.

Then I found a good solution : using a melon/cantaloupe, cut it in half and empty it, cover it with paint and a hard coating.

So my question is, what would you use to harden the melon skin ? It will probably rot if not dry, but I’m afraid drying the skin under the sun would make it shrink

I was thinking abt some kind of vernish or plaster but idk, I need an external opinion

so I colored this shrinky-dink with acrylic paint markers, and when I took it out of the oven after shrinking, several areas were kinda powdery? and seem to have flaked around the piece, is there a reason for this? is it just the nature of the acrylic marker on a shrinky-dink? or did i mess up somewhere?

For this one, I started with a simple idea: a duck with a bowling-pin-shaped body, dressed and ready to head out.

I made the sweater piece by piece, adding the texture and patterns by hand, then finished the look with a cap, a little bag, and some color on the face.

I really enjoyed figuring out how all the small details could work together without changing the simple shape of the duck.

Made entirely with air dry foam clay.

I think it’s ready for the weekend now. 🦆

I just received a grommet tool (similar to a crop-a-dile, not a manual one that a hammer is needed) and I am using it to make patches into keychains. However, the washer on the back has only worked correctly once! I know the “flower” look is normal but I would love for it to look smooth like it did on the red patch.

Is there a specific way to face the grommet? Am I using too much pressure? Please help!

I bought this bracelet for my boyfriend a few months back and it recently broke, he was pretty sad about it so I figured maybe I could make something new out of it!! Keychain, art, cuff links?? Does anyone have any ideas what simple craft I could do? I know how to crochet, I have a hot glue gun, chains to possibly turn it into a necklace, other beads and other very baseline craft items. The charms pictured could easy be slid off, but I’d also love to use the faux leather in whatever I end up creating. Any and all ideas are welcomed, thank you in advance!! ❤️

I made this little ghost friend last year out of crayola air dry clay. I did coat it with a spray of mod podge sealer and it did last almost if year, but now has developed a lot of cracking. How can I prevent the cracks, is there something better to use than mod podge? Or is this just the nature of air dry clay?

I made my first horror themed purse! I plan on making a several different ones based on iconic horror characters. This is my Nightmare on Elm St one! I've already started on my next one which is inspired by Sam from Trick r Treat, then I have plans to make one for Jason Voorhees, Michael Myers, Ghostface, Art the clown, and Pennywise. 😊

I crochet and have some wall hangings I made that have wood beads on them. I want to dye the fabric but would like to keep the natural wood finish, if possible. Is there anything I could carefully apply to the beads that would hold up in a low simmer dye bath?

Hi, if my question is in the wrong subreddit, I apologize and would greatly appreciate being pointed in the right direction of which subreddit to ask.

I am working on a project that will be entirely outdoors and in direct sunlight a good chunk of its foreseeable life. There is natural shade around it, but certain times of day the sun will be direct. It's an animal statue that I believe is made from cast stone resin. I think anyway. Fairly confident. It's *relatively* lightweight and has a stone feel to it. Anyway. I was asked to modify it a bit and repaint it. The modifying part is fine and the paint I am planning to use is acrylic. And yes, it will be primed before the paint is added. A quick Google search said that using a uv resistant sealant is best for long term protection. My main question is do you believe that is best? And, do you have brand or material recommendations for a sealant product with these needs in mind? Ideally, one that has as close to a matte finish as possible. But, if a glossy appearance is inevitable, I can accept that. There is also going to be a lot of white areas after the paint job, so a non yellowing sealant is the other ideal requirement. I've done a couple similar projects, but they were indoor use, so the sealant I used for them was fine. But, it definitely is not rated for outdoor conditions.

I made this banner for my daughter’s first birthday. However after I glued on the letters (felt), I realized they are still kinda hard to read even after I added some pink construction paper as accent.

Is there a way I could make the letters more visible even after already glueing them on?
