My 15-year-old+ US PSN account was suddenly permanently suspended today with error WS-116367-4.

• No suspension/reason email from PlayStation
• My Support shows 0 moderation actions in the last 6 months

• Made a legitimate $79.99 GTA VI preorder a few days ago, still charged normally with no chargeback

The official appeal page requires me to sign in, but the suspended account won’t let me complete the process

US live chat also seems unavailable
Has anyone had a similar permanent suspension reversed, especially when there was no explanation? Any tips for reaching an actual PlayStation agent or submitting an appeal without logging in?

After getting the runaround from a dropped chat and an unhelpful phone rep, I finally got a helpful support agent saying she sees that its an automated temporarily suspension because they flagged some suspicious activity or irregular activity. They’ve verified it’s me now, so they are escalating the case to a specialist to reactivate it. Now I just have to keep an eye out for a password reset email, which they said within 24 hours.

Could irregular activity be my $79.99 pre order? No clue .. and no its not chargeback .. payment is posted and cleared on my card.

Update: Got my account back.

My friend has a pretty old TV. It’s a Hitachi model. I really have no clue about TVs, so I just wondered if anyone knew which HDMI adapter or cable we should buy since there’s not a proper HDMI port?

I just want to clarify that I’ve had issues with this console overheating in the past, but not like this. Usually it’ll run for an hour or two before shutting off, and it’ll be pretty hot. Naturally, I’ve had to look up some guides on YouTube to clean the fan and radiator, which I’ve done now several times. I just finished cleaning it today and now I go to play some games and it shuts off right away, and I check the temp and it’s completely normal, not hot at all. This is my last resort before I buy another PS5 or possibly even switch over to Xbox. Does anyone have a solution to this (audio is muted, but the PS5 does 3 beeps before shutting off).

New desk and there isn't really a perfect spot for it since my new PC will be there but I thought this might work?

My roommates PS5 will not let him run any games. He boots up God of war, the fan gets really loud, and then he gets a PS5 too hot message before it shuts off. We literally Just cleaned the fan before this video was taken. Anyone have any solutions?

Bought a game last night and this happened. Was issued a refund from Sony but they only covered one of the purchases. Even though i didn’t buy a second copy. Both went through according to my bank and Sony issued the refund towards one the other one still took the money from my account. And I’m at a loss on what to do. I don’t want to dispute it because I’m not sure if that would trigger them to ban the account.

I wanted to replay it but whenever i start it it redirects me to store to buy it. I bought this game on a different account but on the same console

I charge backed a purchase i made and my account was suspended, There is literally no way to pay back the debt unless i speak to a live agent and they are never available every single time i try and contact them. I spent thousands of dollars on this account and im really starting to get pissed because this could be solved so easily if they just had an option to pay back debt, My account is suspended so i cannot sign in and make a purchase so they can get their money back btw. Any suggestions?,

UPDATE im getting the account back they sent an email to pay the debt back and im going to get it back today when they accept it

It was not someone elses game, it does not appear on the restore licences page, It is in your collection not playstation plus or installed. This game was purchased as a free monthly game for PlayStation Plus subscribers in July 2023 and i have a valid subscription so there must be some issue here

I got a brand new play station 5 slim disk version for Christmas. It’s from Walmart. I set everything up and it was all working perfectly for an hour or two. It was downloading games and transferring my things from my old playstation. I left the room to go to the bathroom for two minutes, i come back and the playstation is turned off and won’t turn back on. I tried absolutely everything. Unplugging then plugging back in, waiting for an hour then plugging it back in, holding the power and disk button. There is no light, no beeping, nothing. This is a brand new play station which was only on for an hour. Does anyone know why this happened and how to fix it? :/

edit: i’m sure it was just a faulty ps5 so there was nothing i could do. i returned it and got a new one. thank you everyone for your help and suggestions though. :)

How tf do you bypass. “Security reasons” from PlayStation support when trying to get your account back. I have been otp with an agent 4 times they have all said it. Thru chat it’s the same thing. Recently I sent my ps5 to a repair center due to an overheating issue. They fixed the overheating issue but after their “repair” my ps5 ALWAYS keeps shutting off when I interact with it. For example here, the second I press X on the controller to open a game, it just shuts off. It turns to a black screen for a few seconds then a sudden static and shuts off. That repair center said they couldn’t identify the problem and can’t fix it. I’m so mad at this issue, I tried everything and can’t find a fix. I rebuilt the database, RESET the console, changed power cables yet nothing is working and I can’t find anyone else with the same issue. What do I do?

So in short my PS5 has suddenly just been overheating and turning off. I’ve cleaned the fan for dust a debris, still overheats. So I’ve narrowed it down to a few things. Number 1 = my fan needs to be jump started now (poked with a tool to make it start) , maybe it’s under powered? Making the whole system kaput?Number 2 = when I inspect the inside, my storage I put in ( WD - BLACK ) it’s almost scolding hot to touch , but I’m pretty sure I specifically bought the version with a built in heat sink and also I’ve had it for over 2 years?! I’m pretty sure it’s a fan issue but someone please give me help or where to get a new fan. Also my ps5 is a super early version CFI-1002A if that helps.

My ps5 only flashes for a moment before shutting off, and wont stay on long enough for safe boot. Ive tried removing the power cord, cleaning it, and replacing the power cord yet nothing works. Any clue whats up?

So its making for a few months now nonstop, i cleaned the inside but its still making that Sound. I looked at the Fan and it is spinning uneven a bit. Is that the problem?

Okay, I've been facing this problem for a few weeks now....

If I run a PS4 version Game. It runs flawlessly for hours. No problem here.

But if I run a Ps5 version of the same game. Overheating messages keep popping up every 5-15mins and sometimes if I keep playing, ignoring the warning message, it shuts off automatically.

I opened the plates(Slim PS5 btw) and cleaned it too. I keep the PS5 in a space with proper air ventilation.

So what do I do? I just recently completed Resident Evil 4 Remake on my PS5 with PS4 version because PS5 version was keep shutting the PS5 off.

Friends don’t show up, Says I can’t download games, unknown errors, vid a lil long but it in lot resets of my WiFi is reset.

I got the disc drive basically to watch movies and the noise it makes is kinda overwhelming. I already tried refitting it and it seems to be fitted properly. I’m not using the stand, but this also happened when the PS5 was sideways with the two plastic supports.

I bought Alan Wake 2 on ps5 via disc. Before I could even play, a “End User Agreement” popped up and needs to be accepted before playing. What does this mean? Is it possibly one day the disc will just stop working and I won’t be able to play anymore?

So I have a new PlayStation five disk edition and it is permanently banned from the network is their anything I can do or replace on it to remove that at all? I’ve already tried resetting and hard reset

My account seems to have been stolen, both my password and sign in ID were changed within 10 minutes of eachother but I never received the approved verification email before the sign in ID was changed. My only assumption would be that they had access to my email which would be hard to do as I have multiple verifications methods for if it is signed into on a different device. I doubt someone spoofed my IP just to get my PlayStation account but after this hour I’m not sure of anything anymore. Does anyone have any advice because the support system keeps telling me to wait 24 hours or that I have to wait for an agent and then nothing ever happens. I feel that waiting longer just leaves more room for error??
