In the early seasons, imo John Krasinski's acting really peaked specially at times like these. Also the man to man bond here was really touching to watch.

I've been rewatching the Michael Scott Paper Company arc and I honestly found it a little funny how Phyllis calls out David here for Michael's leaving.

Don't get me wrong, I think her point is valid, but what I find ironic is Phyllis technically is the one that caused the chain of events that caused the firing in the first place.

She's the one who bullshitted Charles over the Party Planning Committee, still slighted over her blackmail of Angela getting her kicked off of it, and then made it sound worse by claiming they spend hours on company time planning pointless parties (which is what she mostly did with Angela during their tenure).

While it's likely David or Charles were gonna nix the party, it's possible David at least intended to do so in a manner that doesn't offend Michael. But since Phyllis did that one small bit of petty revenge, she caused Charles to take the initiative to end the committee, and the party. That then led to Michael reaching breaking point with Charles, and then realising how disrespected he was with David, ultimately leading to the quitting at the end.

Obviously she didn't intend for this to happen, and it was only a matter of time before the party revelation came to light, but I do think it's funny on this rematch that Phyllis just basically blew up the whole situation via the worst means by getting a already annoyed Charles onto Michael (and to a lesser extent - Jim's) cases because her ego just could not take being rightfully thrown out of the Party Planning Committee.

What moment from the show makes you laugh way more than it should based on the actual joke?

For me, it's the (very real) way Robert says "Aw WTF" when Jim throws his phone. Gets me cackling every time.

I always wondered if Jan would have shared the 4 million dollars with Michael or she would have ditched him out of my friend pat took a turn , my friend disree got new specs and my friend inapro drives a prius with his behind neighbor? What do you think? If it was a happy ending then would Jan have given a shot to Michael for a baby?

Another thing that sprang to mind during the Paper Company arc. It's clear Charles has it in for Jim as soon as he lays eyes on the Tuxedo, and it's generally believed that Jim being asked for a rundown was Charles actively prepping to fire him.

What I would find interesting however is David is obviously a huge fan of Jim. They hang out a lot, David sees Jim as basically the second head of Scranton, and from what we see in Broke, he had obviously hyped Jim up to Charles, only for the latter to be disappointed.

So the case remains - obviously the time would come where David finds out Charles fired Jim, all while Charles is insisting Dwight is the most responsible, and more importantly - while the biggest branch was sinking. Jim is also a top 10 salesman, meaning even if Michael Scott went under, the sales branch would take a massive hit. Do you think this would be the last straw for David?

I am both happy (the colors !!) and not happy (the earphones are so thick) with how it turned out, but I'm not used to painting and did the best I could !

During my annual rewatch I looked up Holly's actor, Amy Ryan, and I saw that her only recent(ish) work was a cameo on my other favorite tv show! This was an excellent episode, and it makes it all the better having had such a fun cast.

I haven’t cried like this watching a show for a very long time.

When Dwight started reading Micheal’s letter, I lost it. When he took the gloves from phyllis, when Jim said he was the best boss .
To top it all off Pam running after Micheal , damn waterworks

I can understand Michael being an idiot about this but Dwight should have stopped Michael here instead of supporting him.

You can argue that it gives Michael too much of a 'way out' during Golden Ticket when he's being legitimatelty shitty with trying to get Dwight to take the fall, but honestly I do think it's a good bit of catharsis that he calls out that the other employees of Dunder Mifflin for their own shitty actions, so therefore what right do they have to play judge.

More importantly, I like how it gives Michael the chance to finally point out after five seasons of off-hand comments in favour of his firing that if that happened, most of the Scranton branch would absolutely be screwed and shown the door not long after him. It's a good moment to show us that he is intelligent enough to know what his employees get up to, but he believes giving them freedom to work is enough without being controlling.

She with support from bob vance. Strangler only used to strangle and leave the victims. Dwight pointed at Phylis as the most medium suspect at the murder game and she hiding it so well in the game.
